JEMT8
use newspaper not the glossy stuff but the actual newspaper to clean the windows. Not to thread jack but what about some good glass cleaners like for the windshield? I've used a couple different products and they just streaked which obviously is a fail. just use straight up soap and water works well use small squeegee and the wipe with newspaper I cant tell if these are serious suggestions or making fun of homeless people that do this. LT.Smoke
Newspaper is the best shit ever.... Wastehog
Stoners glass cleaner is the shit. It is streak free. It's real nice because its tint safe which is a major plus. I've never personally used the news paper trick, but I know people who preach about it. I like using a dry microfiber cloth and my windows never streak, unless you use a damp or soaked cloth. A good product to use on dirty floors, or seats covered in grease/heavy dirt is purple power. It comes in a concentrate from walmart, and its my favorite thing to use on everything to clean. Everything I have mentioned can be picked up at Walmart. You can get the stoner glass cleaner at Major chain auto parts stores too. I'd stick with the spray bomb type, as it foams and works better, imo. One other thing I found pretty cool was a sponge/squeege at walmart, which has a built in sprayer, and the handle is filled with glass cleaner. Neat idea if you ask me. I bought one, as I don't have a wiper fluid bottle anymore.. Quote 1985 Chevy Silverado Black and Silver SBC 350/700r4
SQMonte
ok so in car audio world we all know theres mainstream (JL mtx sony etc), well theres also the "underground" by that i mean its not mainstream but its some of the best performance in the entire market (sundown DD FI/AA DC etc aka any partner on SMD). is this true for cleaning supplies for cars. im guessing armor all is mainstream. i was reading the pinned "how to paint plastics" and the dude said armor all is for the devil. the reason i ask is im planning a new car soon and its Christmas so i figure stock up on some good cleaning supplies so when my new car and summer comes along im squared away and ready to go. from what i hear meguiars (sp?) is a great all around cleaning company. is that true and is there any other companies like that?Meguiars is a good product maker, especially their professional line of products...but they aren't underground. Some good underground products are made by Ultima, Chemical Guys, ClearKote, 303, Blackfire, S100, Hi-Temp, Klasse, Menzerna, Jeffs Werkstatt, Wolfgang, Pinnacle, Collinite and Optimum, to name a few off the top of my head:pardon: Quote Alpine CDA-117...Memphis 16-X03 CDT Audio SQA-4100...SEAS Prestige H1396...Crescendo MP-6 Soundstream Rubicon 1.2500d...Digital Designs 3512f
tonedeaf
I used to professionally detail cars for a living. Mothers is easily among the best wax and cleaning products. If you want professional quality products go with what you local new car dealership. You can normally buy bulk supplies from them like 5 gallon jugs of soap, etc for cheap. Even better then buying from the dealership, ask them about their supplier. Alot of dealerships get their supplies delivered from a mobile dealer who comes to them. If you buy through the dealer you can normally get items at cost plus tax. For soap, cherry bomb is the best ive used and i wont turn to another. For interior plastics and carpets, there isn't anything better then xtra duty. I've gotten nearly impossible stains out with this product and you can use it in nearly any surface. For tougher stains and such, eradicator is the best, just don't use it on black plastic. Any other questions just ask.
