craniumcrackinbassv2
i currently have 1 RFt1k ( new model ) running off a stock batt and a stock alt. which is obviously too much power for the battery because a little bit of acid is on one of the terminals so my questions are. since that amp doesn't have that much power would the acid leaks stop if i just bought another battery and use it as a primary? something like a yellow top. or should i buy the yellow top and put it in the back? which leads to my next question if i were to do that would strapping another stock alt even work to charge those 2 batteries.. AMI CUSTOMS
First off you need a new battery if it is leaking acid. Secondly, it would be wise to get a AGM style battery, much better for car audio, and depending on the size of the AGM you select, that may be all you need, also considering the size of your alt. I would need to know more info about vehicle. fritosaregood
as long as your not cranking the gain to full clip and listening to it full tilt all day, you should be fine with a stock alt and stock batt, But you should do the Big 3 upgrade. it wont hurt anything to add a yellow top to the back, you wont need 2 alts for a 1k amp, Quote seller feedback: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61719 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=68281 build log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/index.php?showtopic=44800 Gf's build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/54346-kickergirls-camaro-new-box-pg-5/#entry753970

ChevyBoy95
Leaking acid. Get new battery most likely. if you dont go gain crazy 1k is fine on stock electrical. I ran 1800rms on stock electrical and big 3. (105 amp alt, nice interstate batt) Quote Best Score to Date : 160.5 dB Outlaw (47Hz)[4 XM 15's & 2 Taramps Bass 12k's] BL : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147800-chevyboy95s-4-15s-7krms-wall-1533-db-on-half-power/YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/hitemwiththeflex/

This with the big 3 and you should have little to no voltage drop.
