JL or Sundown??

you can make it louder, but I seriously doubt cleaner. the jl is geared towards sq while the sundown is towards loud. the w3 also responds less peaky. also there isn't many subs that can touch the w6 when it comes to sq and under $300.

agreed. People can post the same old "well it's all in the box" but if you build the best box possible for both I would put my money down that the JL would SOUND better.

But of course we all have different ears don't we

The JL 12w3 is cheaper than the SA-12. The RMS is 600 on both of the subs. So how is JL sooo overpriced?

maybe cause you cant run 1500 watts to a jl w3

definatly sundown. jl is soooo over priced and even more overrated. ive owned a fair amount of jl subs and i HATED them. i dont see why there so popular. the w 0's sounded like shit. the w3's were slightly better but still not impressed. i liked my kenwoods better and they were 50 bucks lol

actually i feel the opposite (not about the choosing sundown part, but about the "experience" with JL. I loved every JL i have heard as well as the few i have owned.

also, "vs" threads are stupid......it just leads to a bunch of shit talking, biased comments, just like the ones i see in here.
