First off, you need to be comparing apples to apples, not oranges, every situation will require a difference in configuration, as is electricity is a strange thing, that is why alot of electrical study is theory and not law, all you got is ohms law, that is the one that is trusted. Electricity is effected by many things and time is just one of them. The point being current has to originate from a source, that is the enemy in dead short, which is what a fuse is to protect, protect the equipment in the event of a short to ground. Current starts at the source, the battery, this is why you want that damn fuse as close to the battery as possible to avoid, one, a short between the fuse and the battery, this is accomplished by putting the fuse less then 18 inches away, but the closer the better. And two, fuses are time delayed, all fuses are, just some are slow blow and others are fast. But electrical components will handle above there rating for a given time,,,HOW??? Temperature changes conductivity. So point being placing another fuse by the amp, it is pointless, the amp is not the source of current on the input, it is the demand, how can it short out a fuse if there isn't a short on the line that is already protected by one fuse by the source, the battery? It can't.

The other point being this is dc power we are talking about this can't be applied to AC, which some people confuse. Current is one way in DC, direct.

there are only ever 2 issues in electricity...only 2 ...

either there is a connection where there shouldn't be one...or there is no connection where there should be one....that's it. those are the only two issues EVER

Frequency dip or voltage collapse don't always cause either of those.

but, usually, neither of those is catastrophic, either

And what happens when your phase angle is more then 45 degrees out of phase and you try to reconnect an open line? LOL
