    • Yes - Thanks :D
    • No - Still Confused :( (Post Why So I Can Help)

I never disagreed with that?

what I said was:

"if you're running a 4ga cable, with an 80amp fuse at the battery at the front of the car, no rear battery, to an amplifier that rated at 4x100watts, 1000watt mono, or something similar, why would you fuse just before the amp?"

No clue why, manufacture says, I guess in reality the first fuse should save it I guess, my question for you sir is why are we up at 3:33 am arguing about this, lmao

its 6:05pm here ;)

I was never arguing with you, I was disagreeing with "ISO" when he said:

"If your amp or amps do not have built in fusing then you add a fuse rite before the amp. PERIOD no ifs ands or butts about it."

which isn't correct at all, and I'm still waiting for an intelligent explanation from him as to why he thinks this is a requirement, which is when I asked:

"if you're running a 4ga cable, with an 80amp fuse at the battery at the front of the car, no rear battery, to an amplifier that rated at 4x100watts, 1000watt mono, or something similar, why would you fuse just before the amp?"

unlikely as it may be there's still a possibility of a short after the first fuse. mehbe?

I did answer your question but your lack of real world experience is keeping you from understanding what I have written.

Look the whole idea of fusing has to do with keeping the damage as limited as possible when a component fails.

I'm done with this thread and will not respond to this thread anymore.

Please go back and read again and maybe something will click for you.

This is me reaching but true none the less. multiple blade fuses used to achieve one large number have a much faster burn rate than an ANL fuse. (Blade fuses have a much higher sensitivity to a short)

Again whether you like my answers or not I will not be responding to this thread anymore.

Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

will you respond if it has to do with helping someone with wiring :D ? I'm not interested in even talking to that whatever his name is above, he is an ass!

where? there's nothing intelligent contributed by you in this thread.

I'm beginning to wonder if you even understand a how a fuse works.

an 80amp fuse at the battery will have the exact same effect in protecting an amplifier that the manufacturer recommends running an external 80amp fuse.

what are you even trying to argue?

I don't have a lack of real world experience, nor do I have a lack of theoretical knowledge, it seems you lack both.
