I believe it's the pre-1985 model since it has the longer tube and barrel that holds 18 rounds instead of 15, plus has the sweet squirrel engraving in the walnut stock. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marlin_Model_60 Anyways, last time I took it out and shot it I couldn't get 4 rounds out without it stove-piping or jamming. I half wonder if certain parts of it are so old/tired/worn that it causes it to miss-feed as much as it does. Cheap old remington ammo doesn't help, but god damn if they don't see anything wrong with it and it continues to have issues, I may just try to see if they will trade it in for a Ruger 10/22. It was either 1 250rd Remington UMC box for $75, or Remington 1000rd box for $250. Course I wasn't walking out with 250rds lol. Also decided against trading in my Model 60, was only going to get $75 bucks for it so fuck that. Gonna put several different kinds of ammo through it and try to find something that won't jam in it.
