The official guns and stuff shoot the breeze thread

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about getting the 3x.

I'm wanting to reach or to 100yds or more and maintain decent groups.

I know that's not far but I'm a total noob so that's my starting point.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

I'm a magnification whore if I'm trying to group. I've got a 1-4 and an acog and I'm like need more top end lol the dots are more for hosing stuff and man targets at 100. Those short barrels are real fun to run quick

300aac is a real fun round. No gas system changes needed to run sub-sonic sold me. On a 10.5" gun with my Omega and subs the gun gives be a woodsy. I run all of my other calibers (where the barrel allows and where practical of course) suppressed and nothing compares to the noise reduction and terminal ballistics of a subsonic rifle round fired from a suppressed SBR.

Especially in 300blk with a silent capture spring. The first time I heard that I just fucking laughed. Can't wait for my cans to come in. That and the suppressed mpx sbr should be giggle worthy

Since I'm down to two tax stamps pending I'm crushing on a 14 inch barrel 870. It's either thst or send off my saiga for a trim down. Rather do the 870 I think.

Got some new sights installed by some fellow Leathernecks in the armory.

Ameriglo idots (not the pros because I wanted a thinner front sight post)

Then I got busy.

I haven't carried my 19 for almost a month since I jacked up the stock rear sight doing one hand manipulations. It finally gave me a solid reason to buy the sights I've wanted for a while but also to learn how stupid simple it is to disassemble a glock. Since I had it apart I figured why not, I wish I had a stock of the shelf 19 to compare it to though since it's been a while. The take up is warm butter smooth with a solid wall and crisp deliberate break, reset is still very positive but doesn't finish with a resonant buzz like it did before.

Going to put some rounds through it this weekend to op check/bzo and make sure I did accidentally turn it into an 18. If all is kosher I'll put her back on the belt.

I'll be sure to give a range report.
