boometro
@n8ball2013 what is this i hear about a gun trust and not having to get leo signatures or send prints in and only taking 3 months or so to get things approved? is this a fictional thing or is this actually possible? can you shed any light on it? just trying to get some information. you seem very knowledgeable about all of this. n8ball2013
It was a real thing until like two days ago. Now 41f has hit the streets and even trusts require it. For awhile approvals were under 90 days and way below for some. Here's what my trust approved class III items ran for me at different times The trust route was a loophole in that a gust was declared not an individual and they could have multiple people with the ability to access nfa items. 41f says that a trust and all parties on the trust must have prints and Cleo notification but not sign off. boometro
would having a trust lessen the waiting time or is it still a long wait with or without?
Airborne
A trust is a good idea no matter what. If you die and have a trust your NFA items belong to the trust. It can be an absolute bitch to sort it all out and get things transferred, not impossible but a real bitch.
n8ball2013
Doesn't make the wait shorter and for awhile it was taking longer. The atf hates the trusts so it was rumored that they were stalling on the trust users. Airborne
I made my own from an online blank. A revokable living trust is absolutely simple. The wait becomes nothing once you get to know the process. NFA items are addicting like anything else. I say make solid choices, I made some useless guns early on to tell you the truth.lol
LT.Smoke
So hypothetically speaking if I started a trust and something happened.. What happens to the nfa items in the trust? Do family members get to take posession or how does that work?
