Ar im building thats not the lower thats going to be on it i just put it on to put some rounds through the upper

So far

Bcm kmr handgaurd

V7 weapons ti a2 style comp

V7 titanium barrel nut

14.5 mid length fluted bcm barrel pinned.

F1 firearms skeletonized upper

Prob a f1 bcg soon

Imagine what running an upper like that suppressed (wet) or over-lubed would feel/smell/taste like.

Probably sounds stupid but whats the deal with the longer barrels on the ar's vs the normal 16" ? Whats the benefit

Longer heavier barrels generally provide better accuracy at longer ranges

I looked at a ruger American ranch in 300Blk today and passed on it. Super light super small.

Picked up a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 CM yesterday. Need to get some scope rings then see how it shoots, but initially it seems pretty decent for the price. Potato pic but it's nothing special to look at anyway.

Let us know how that works out for you! I'm looking at picking up a 6.5 Creedmoor in the near future and I was looking at the Ruger. I'm torn between saving money with the Ruger or spending more to get a Savage.

I've seen both. The fit and finish on the ruger is awesome. As someone who owns quite a few higher end pieces the ruger is very very nice. It's not a surgeon action on a ai chassi but it's also 1/8 the cost.
