  1. Thanks for the amp Nine8SST, thing works great! appreciate it man!.
  2. I ended up using loctite epoxy, seems to be working fantastic! Going to hook them up tomorrow and check it out.
  3. I don't have a "local hobby shop" lol. What about the glue from fixmyspeaker.com? Its meant for recones and what not.
  4. I was talking my girls subs out of her car today so she could haul some stuff. I noticed when i went to put them back in that the rubber surround had separated from the cone? WTF!!! just my luck right? well Its not fully pulled apart all the way around just 3/4 Of it is. How to you glue the rubber surround back to the cone? The subs are in my sig, the eclipse 12's, thank you in advance!!
  5. Yeah The RTV silicone seems to work for a lot of people. I wish i was one of those people lol. Damn RF and there Rubber surround. I put some awesome goop and clear DAP calking on mine and it worked better, I just decided "screw it" and put it back in the box. It wont be hooked up for a few days so I'll let it dry and see how it worked out. As long as it lasts till my next pay check, I will be able to buy a replacement.
  6. I got dap clear calking and awesome goop I used both and put the sub back in the box. I won't be using it so it can dry for a day or so. Let's hope it holds up!
  7. How about shoe goo(p)? I just want the hole Sealed so it wont tear any bigger or leak. I don't care how it looks as long as it still sounds / plays good.
  8. What exact brand? I tried using two types of permatex silicone gasket maker. The rtv and just some copper stuff, also tried rubber cement the rubber actually absorbed it. Clear finger nail polish falls off. Nothing wants to bond with this sub except me! I'm trying some super glue now, but seeing what the nail polish did, I'm not getting my hopes up. Maybe the rubber on my hx2 is different from other subs.
  9. I picked up rtv gasket silicone, it seems to not want to stick to the rubber. Am I not letting it fully set? Will it bond better after the 24-hr setting period. I keep wasting money on all these silicones and glues.
  10. Nine8SST Is from tacoma, I live in ellensburg man!
  11. I already purchased an amp thanks though!!
  12. Tried rubber cement today, didn't work. Tried clear nail polish and it worked alright. I picked up some RTV gasket maker chit and im gonna try and use that on the back side.
