• Description This is my current setup. It may not be at all comparable to anything on this forum but I've got bass! This was currently finished about two weeks ago and I never realized that I would join this forum until I saw the July SOTM and thought 'Hey I'll give it a shot'! This is my third setup in this vehicle but it's been two years since a system was in this truck. First setup I had was what I had in my Toyota 4Runner (which I have posted on here) which was with the RE Audio SX 18 and it barely fit! It wasn't all that great to have it in the truck the way I did but I had nothing else to put in there. I wish I had pictures so I could show you but I haven't found any on my computer. Anyways, I needed something different. I ended up getting two Rockford Fosgate T1 12's in a ported box but I hadn't upgraded my amp which was still the American Legacy amplifier. I was going to get two amps and a battery or two for the subs but I had a trip to go on and I need to sell what I had to have extra money. I still regret selling them but life goes on! ----- So, it's been two years since I've had any bass and now I have bass but it's little compared to what I've owned. Man it surprised me big time! I've go a Kenwood headunit with a Monster AUX cord, CD player is messed up and I don't know what happened to it, and I usually don't use USB since I have an android phone and not all of my song files will play through USB. Coming from the radio to the amp I have all Rockford wires; battery and negative as well. Those wires hook up to a VR3 2 channel 200 watt amplifier with crossover. This is manufactured (well used to be manufactured) by Virtual Reality Sound Lab. 100 watts RMS bridged at 4 ohms. Or you can use it for mids for 50 watts RMS. Never heard of the company until the amp was given to me a few weeks back (which is why I have BASS in my truck now!!). From the amp to the sub. The sub is an old school Kicker Substation KS80. This is an 8 inch 4 ohm woofer. 150 watts RMS. All of this was made in the United States back in the mid to late 90's (I'm pretty sure). And wow did this little sub surprise me for it's age and size. WOW! The box was made by Stillwater Designs who are no longer around. The dimensions for the box are 18'' X 9'' X 9'' ...very small and compact. Of course I could get a better amp and give the sub a little more juice but so far the amp hasn't given me any problems and it sounds great. So some may wonder how I came across this sub. Craigslist my friends and I'm not ashamed. I traded some of my stuff for some of his items and that was along with it. When I got home I checked it out and the box was in pretty good shape except for the metal that protected the sub (it was a little dented up). Well I popped it out and got a look at the sub. Now, I'm nothing of a repair man when it comes to a sub, but I noticed the cap of the subwoofer had come unglued in one spot. Well I glued it back down and glued some more. It wasn't a terrible job for doing something like that for the first time but it's not like I'm showcasing it to a beauty contest. It has had no effect on how it sounds either. It sounds great when listening to almost any type of music except music with lots of lows and I'm talking E-40 lows (well to me he seems to have a lot of songs with a lot of lows my 8 inch subwoofer wouldn't be able to handle). The picture of the amp under the seat gives no justice of my wiring job, which I thought my camera skills were good enough but I guess I didn't capture them, and if its needed or someone wants to see it just let me know!. If someone would like to see the top of sub and it out of the box let me know!. Also if someone wants me to make a video of it, let me know as well! Thanks for taking the time to read about my current setup and let me know if there are any questions about it.

**Once I get the extra cash and a better job (it pays for my housing and food at college) I will try to do a new system in this truck; an overhaul to be exact.
