Mids/Highs on an Alpine MDA-W933J

This past summer I picked up an Alpine MDA-W933J Double-Din deck after my CDA-9886 blew its sub outputs, and have been happy with it ever since. For anyone unfamiliar with this deck, Its a Japanese only unit that has a CD player (no mp3), mini disk, full DSP/EQ settings, motorized faceplate, and the works. However the biggest complaints I have with this deck are that it doesn't have any high/low pass filters for its mid channels, and it only has a sub pre-amp output.

My next step in my car is to upgrade all the mids/highs and I am wondering from a SQ standpoint am I better off finding a newer deck that has full range preamp outputs, or using one of those OEM integration units on this alpine deck to wire in a mids amp. I have doubts about wiring in a mids amp to this deck, just because of if the mids amplified channels distort off the deck then I wont be pushing clean preamp level sound into my amp. If this isn't a cause for concern then I would love to keep this deck, as it is quite rare and has a boatload of features I love. /

Anyway, I'd love to hear your guys's thoughts on this deck.

- Video of the MDA-W988J that I would LOVE to get if they didnt go for over $500 on ebay. the W988J has the full DSP with more settings, has the high/low pass filters, has the preamp outs I want, and a full LCD.

Nevermind, I am going to upgrade to that MDA-W988J I want so badly and sell the MDA-W933J I have to a friend. That solves all issues while giving me the deck I really want.
