  1. well, my previous set-up was with a single power hx2 12" in a vented enclosure and it sounded really good. but i let an associate turn up the gains on the amp and it ended up blowing the sub. for the past few months i had to revert to using my back up subs which are phoenix gold xenon 10's in a sealed box. they sound ok and it was fine temporarily but i'm really just missing that serious bang.

i was considering going with two sa-12's but then i saw the x-series and figured i may be able to get pretty loud with just one 12" and the right box. i guess there are no shortcuts to success and I should just go ahead and get a proper box built. thanks for the advice.

  2. What's up everyone, long time reader first time posting here. I am looking to get one Sundown X-Series 12" for my 2011 Mustang and was wondering if I could get some feedback regarding this enclosure:

I know many people don't recommend prefab boxes but it looks like this one could be tuned to match the specs pretty well for the x-series. plus it will fit flush against the back of the trunk so I wouldn't have to deal with the extra cost of getting a custom enclosure made. any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated. my goals are ridiculous, i know. trying to get as much bass possible without adding an excessive amount of weight.
