should i paint it then put it on or put it on then paint it??
paint it then put it on
-
face the subs towards the trunk. (my best results anyway)
-
it only does 600 rms at 1ohm
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7560_O...HCCA-D1200.html
kind of hard to believe considering i used to have a crossfire 600d on 2 dd 1500 10s and when i switched to the orion i gained 2 db's using the same setup. and why would the site i quoted say 1200w rms?

With those specs 40x20x20 I calculated about 7.6 cuft before sub and port displacement using 3/4 inch wood. With that space I'd say 2 fifteens should be good. As far as equipment its going to be personal preference. For me with that budget that space and that alternator I would do the following.
Amp: Sundown SAZ-3000d $700 http://www.db-r.com/sell/store/index.php?productID=146
Subs: DC Level 4 fifteens $400 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=20834
Wire: Stinger $108 http://www.darvex.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Sc...Product_Count=1
Wood: 3/4 inch mdf or birch ply around $30 to $40 at lowes or home depot
Speaker wire: Knu 10 gauge $16 for 20ft http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KLE10BL
RCAs: Knu Karma $15 for 6 meter http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.c...rodID=KARSS2.6M
Remote wire: 14 or 16 gauge wire from walmart $8 for 50ft spool I think
Starting Battery: IDK size but assume around $250
Battery: d3100 $300 http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.a...mp;autoview=sku
Total: $1837 Leaves room for shipping on batteries
Thats just what I'd do in your situation giving the space and budget
id do one lvl5 18 or an fi btl fully loaded 18 n throw more power at it... just my opinion though.

pics or it never happened

Hot ass song.

Shoulda stripped the interior better... good luck though

not even any offers

Im sure with triple that amount of power The LV4 would be a very unhappy woofer, and the 9500 would put a bigger gap between them. I only stated what the results were at that power level 3850 watts , The 9500 is alot bigger sub that is capable of taking alot more power, never said it wouldent For a test with more power a LV4XL would be a more suitable woofer to compare, there about the same size and power handeling but a 9500 and LV4 is all I had at the tie, I tested them and posted the results, nothing more
like i said, i wasnt trying to turn this into any kind of argument at all. i was just stating facts, the same as you
-
i see ur selling an amp too.will you take $280 for subs and amp??
looking for a bit more for the amp. but i would take $350 for the amp + 2 subs. anymore questions pm me
-
what will get louder between the DD 1500 and this http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/ele/666863629.html
****before anyone reads this, my opinion is not biased****
the dd's will shit on those rockfords. the guy selling those rockfords says they'll take 500w rms... i have 4 dd 1500 10s giving them 800w rms each, DAILY. not to mention that box that the rocksfords are in looks like shit.
-
my pit is the same way bro. dumb as hell. make sure u keep him healthy !
-
ill sell you two dd 1500 series 10s for $200. ones brand new and ones been used for about 3 months. the amp will push them good @ 1100w rms @ 1ohm
-
so basically it took tripple the rms of a dc sub to match the stated rms of the DD i wonder what the score would be if the dd's rms was trippled hell even doubled
well i was putting it in a nicer fashion... but yes.
I meant I was unspecialized in DD.
i know, i was filling you in
-
I do believe 3,850w is more than the R.M.S of the DC.
Not specialized in the DD area.
3850 is ideal for a 9515 daily
-
not to knock this thread, be negative, say dc subs suck, or start an argument in any way.... but if you put more power to both subs... check the numbers then... all u did was put the max power to the dc and a little more than half to the dd. sure dc is a good sub, but when comparing to dd u need to add more power to optimize results
-
i wanna see that bitch with some bigger tires
-
are u asking for a box design or simply how to get an 18 in your car without losing the back seats?
-
lol'd @ your uncle. looks like it was fun. although your cabin looked like a shack(no offense intended)
-
i know someone has to have a use for this little power house
-
well the subs will not fit facing bck, and the port facing up probably wont have the best results....this is just the first of a few boxes for these subs, amps and trunk. probably one with subs and ports facing into the cabin sealed from the trunk, should touch a 150 from that and it will still be a trunk setup. Trust me the is NOT the best desgin for a trunk, we just made a quik box to test with even though the subs are choked off
seal the trunk off and put the subs/amps in the back seat !

i love sealed boxes... cant use sealed boxes for the subs i use though (dd)
