Just got off the phone maybe 15minutes ago with Brian from Sundown. Here are his words & #'s verbatim:
f: 30Hz
Port Area (14sqin per ft^3 of enclosure volume: 42in^2
Displacement : 0.12
Enclosure Volume : 3 ft^3
So I'm going to be going with the second specs altered a little to get that port area up to 42. I'll report back when its being cut/installed and how it performs.

Same with mine Daniel....no email yet, i'll call tomorrow
EDIT***** So I'm now being told by someone with a pair of x-12's that they are to be calculated using the zv4 box specs.....

I'll contact sundown directly tomorrow morning if by some grace they dont swing in here beforehand for a legit spec sheet then. The box i recieved mine in didn't have any spec sheets or anything unfortunately
it will be braced and double baffled, as well as physically bolted to the chassis as was my last box.

You need more port area per foot. At least 12-16. I'd say more port area too. I know zv4 12 requires just over 40in^2 of port. Not sure with the x12, but I'm sure it's more than 29. Also 3.2cu may be a little too big for an x. I'm running my zv4 at 3cu.
this is exactly what i was concerned with, i couldn't find a figure for the x series yet.
Oh and the displacement is not .3 lol. It's more like .10-.12ish.
giggle, gotta love being told numbers from people that "sell" the product then
round two......

really just wanted some validation on what I've got designed for now. I dropped the X12 in my old box but can tell it needs its own tailored box to be the best it can be. this is what i've got so far....

Here is a teaser of the results of the proper box & fitment. This is boxV1, V2 will be recut using CNC routing table over winter break, cleaning up aesthetics & then that one will be wrapped in some leather of some sort to match the other interior bits.
