I don't normally list stuff I have for sale that we carry on the site, but if someone's going to buy these I would like to see an SMD member get them. I have two Powermaster D3100 batteries at the old 299.00 each price. I did raise the price on our site to reflect our new cost at 349.00. If your interested in one or both email me your zip code and I'll work up a quote for you. Both are brand new, I just lucked into them at the old price.

A Japanese company ( Toyota ) and an American company (Ford Motors) decided to have a canoe race on the Missouri River Both teams practiced long and hard to reach their peak performance before the race.
On the big day, the Japanese won by a mile.
The Americans, very discouraged and depressed, decided to investigate the reason for the crushing defeat. A management team made up of senior management was formed to investigate and recommend appropriate action.
Their conclusion was the Japanese had 8 people rowing and 1 person steering, while the American team had 7 people steering and 2 people rowing.
Feeling a deeper study was in order; American management hired a consulting company and paid them a large amount of money for a second opinion.
They advised, of course, that too many people were steering the boat, while not enough people were rowing.
Not sure of how to utilize that information, but wanting to prevent another loss to the Japanese, the rowing team's management structure was totally reorganized to 4 steering supervisors, 2 area steering superintendents and 1 assistant superintendent steering manager.
They also implemented a new performance system that would give the 2 people rowing the boat greater incentive to work harder. It was called the 'Rowing Team Quality First Program,' with meetings, dinners and free pens for the rowers. There was discussion of getting new paddles, canoes and other equipment, extra vacation days for practices and bonuses. The pension program was trimmed to 'equal the competition' and some of the resultant savings were channeled into morale boosting programs and teamwork posters.
The next year the Japanese won by two miles.
Humiliated, the American management laid-off one rower, halted development of a new canoe, sold all the paddles, and canceled all capital investments for new equipment. The money saved was distributed to the Senior Executives as bonuses.
The next year, try as he might, the lone designated rower was unable to even finish the race (having no paddles,) so he was laid off for unacceptable performance, all canoe equipment was sold and the next year's racing team was out-sourced to India .
Sadly, the End.
Here's something else to think about: Ford has spent the last thirty years moving all its factories out of the US , claiming they can't make money paying American wages.
TOYOTA has spent the last thirty years building more than a dozen plants inside the US .
The last quarter's results:
TOYOTA makes 4 billion in profits while Ford racked up 9 billion in losses.
Ford folks are still scratching their heads, and collecting bonuses.
IF THIS WEREN'T SO TRUE IT MIGHT BE FUNNY
Did you know that Toyota has more actual cash on hand than any company in the world? Everything they build facilty wise is paid for, all advertising paid for, race sponserships paid for. No loans. They don't pay out one cent in interest to banks. I feel bad for the big three auto makers in America. All three are showing huge losses, it's surely going adversely effect thousands of Americans. Thank goodness Toyota has been putting in manufacturing facilities. I have no quams with either as far as cars go. This story is just a good example of mismanagment in big US business. I'm sweating bullets over what the FDIC is going to do with some of the big banks over the mortage crisis in the upcoming months.

A buddy of mine locally is looking for a pair of old school Kicker Comp 18" subs. Preferably 2 ohm subs. If you have any shoot a price over and I'll see what I can do.

grey goose, pinnacle or triple d smirnoff.

That is some flex. To flex a Volvo like that's doing something. I have the wagon version of the S60, the V70. They are built like tanks.

are you loved in the neighborhood now? how long did it take, i noticed the video was edited?

It's rumored this thing could create a black hole and suck the earth into it. The odds are only 1 in 50 million but you could win the lottery with those odds. Is that not a little disturbing?

Man if you do get an M6 be careful in it When my brother in law got his he didn't think it was going to have as much power as it did he didn't even test drive it before he bought it and when they delieverd it to him he let me drive it before he even drove it since I have a lot more expierence in cars with a lot of power and he didn't and OH MY GOD talk about power and handling
If you do end up with the Tundra you'll like it. My only complaint is the damn fuel bill is way up. I don't have the 5.7, it's the 4.7 and still only averages about 16 mpg. I know a guy with the 5.7 and he's getting about 13. The 5.7 comes with a 6 speed vs the 5 speed. They claim the extra gear will give it the same mpg as the smaller motor but it's bogus. By the way, I did get four 8 inch Sundown subs behind the rear seat. There's a good bit of room w/ the crewmax model. It's been a nice ride. It drives and turns like a car but still has the flex of a truck.

Yeah, this is right. I really wish I could do the batteries, it's the only thing I've had to exclude from 9.95 shipping rate. I'm happy to honor the "meade" discount. If anyone needs a battery get one soon. Even if it's not from us, all batteries are on the brink of jumping way up. It's made my stomach turn a time or to looking at the upcoming increases.
Guys. I have two left at the regular price. I just have a large buy from someone. Just a heads up. This wasn't expected.
-
it says that the flat rate shipping does not apply on these
NOTE:Powermaster batteries are excluded from the $9.95 flat rate shipping and may only ship UPS. Please pick UPS option when checking out.

kinda off topic, but how do you think they would do firing up into the seat, or firing down into the floor, i dont have the room from floor to bottom of the seat to have them fire forward
I've always had good luck with down firing boxes. That's actually wanted to do, just no room with all the brackets and so on. Hey, just a note that's also off the topic. I didn't build the box. I ordered it from This site. I've been hammered at work and home lately.
-
What kind of enclosure you got them in?
It's a sealed box. Standard forward firing box behind the back seat.

Yeah, these are nice speakers. I don't to excited about subs to often but these are nice surprise. These sound good and really fill the cabin of my truck up. With the mounting depth guys should be able to really do some cool stuff with them. Plus they play low enough you could fool someone into thinking they were listening to 12's.

I just tried out the new E8 Sundown subs. I like. I have a good solid 150 watts per sub. They seem to enjoy that and may want a little more. I would recommend them if you are tight on space but need lots bass. I listened to hard rock, techmaster, country and some punk. These seem to do well with everything I've thrown at them. Two thumbs up to Sundown.

get firefox, dont waste your time with a shit browser such as IE! It's not secure & is vulnerable to all kinds of shit that firefox isnt.....plus with firefox u can actually get the history shit to turn off unlike IE! Firefox is 100% faster, doesnt freeze & alot more features & more user friendly than IE.
Give firefox a try.

Can you put a hold on four of these for me? I'm transfering funds to my paypal account now. I'll also be happy to shoot a 200.00 deposit over if needed. Just let me know. Also, thanks for the box connection. He's making one right now.

Does anyone know the model number and the depth on this sub?
-
Trail,
http://www.tech12volt.com - one of my dealers, he does a TON of truck boxes - he may have some advice for you.
The E8s will probably be in stock next week.
Thanks. I'll shoot a message over and see what he has. I have room behind the seat and under the rear seat.
-
I would like a pair as soon as you have them ready to go. I want to do an install under or behind the rear seat on my tundra. Has anyone done one of the crewmax trucks yet?
-
It all depends on the current demands of a system. Most small systems do ok with a single upgraded battery. Add a little amperage demanding multi-amp system to a car and then you'll have to consider what's best for feeding it. I say anything over 100 amps in current draw requires some attention in the charging / storage department.

I've only dealt with him once. It was a good experience. In addition to helping me out with the speakers he pointed me to guy that built a box for my truck. Quick emails and service. Thumbs up for Sundown.
