  1. I don't normally list stuff I have for sale that we carry on the site, but if someone's going to buy these I would like to see an SMD member get them. I have two Powermaster D3100 batteries at the old 299.00 each price. I did raise the price on our site to reflect our new cost at 349.00. If your interested in one or both email me your zip code and I'll work up a quote for you. Both are brand new, I just lucked into them at the old price.

  2. A Japanese company ( Toyota ) and an American company (Ford Motors) decided to have a canoe race on the Missouri River Both teams practiced long and hard to reach their peak performance before the race.

On the big day, the Japanese won by a mile.

The Americans, very discouraged and depressed, decided to investigate the reason for the crushing defeat. A management team made up of senior management was formed to investigate and recommend appropriate action.

Their conclusion was the Japanese had 8 people rowing and 1 person steering, while the American team had 7 people steering and 2 people rowing.

Feeling a deeper study was in order; American management hired a consulting company and paid them a large amount of money for a second opinion.

They advised, of course, that too many people were steering the boat, while not enough people were rowing.

Not sure of how to utilize that information, but wanting to prevent another loss to the Japanese, the rowing team's management structure was totally reorganized to 4 steering supervisors, 2 area steering superintendents and 1 assistant superintendent steering manager.

They also implemented a new performance system that would give the 2 people rowing the boat greater incentive to work harder. It was called the 'Rowing Team Quality First Program,' with meetings, dinners and free pens for the rowers. There was discussion of getting new paddles, canoes and other equipment, extra vacation days for practices and bonuses. The pension program was trimmed to 'equal the competition' and some of the resultant savings were channeled into morale boosting programs and teamwork posters.

The next year the Japanese won by two miles.

Humiliated, the American management laid-off one rower, halted development of a new canoe, sold all the paddles, and canceled all capital investments for new equipment. The money saved was distributed to the Senior Executives as bonuses.

The next year, try as he might, the lone designated rower was unable to even finish the race (having no paddles,) so he was laid off for unacceptable performance, all canoe equipment was sold and the next year's racing team was out-sourced to India .

    Sadly, the End.

Here's something else to think about: Ford has spent the last thirty years moving all its factories out of the US , claiming they can't make money paying American wages.

TOYOTA has spent the last thirty years building more than a dozen plants inside the US .

    The last quarter's results:

TOYOTA makes 4 billion in profits while Ford racked up 9 billion in losses.

Ford folks are still scratching their heads, and collecting bonuses.

IF THIS WEREN'T SO TRUE IT MIGHT BE FUNNY

Did you know that Toyota has more actual cash on hand than any company in the world? Everything they build facilty wise is paid for, all advertising paid for, race sponserships paid for. No loans. They don't pay out one cent in interest to banks. I feel bad for the big three auto makers in America. All three are showing huge losses, it's surely going adversely effect thousands of Americans. Thank goodness Toyota has been putting in manufacturing facilities. I have no quams with either as far as cars go. This story is just a good example of mismanagment in big US business. I'm sweating bullets over what the FDIC is going to do with some of the big banks over the mortage crisis in the upcoming months.

  3. Man if you do get an M6 be careful in it When my brother in law got his he didn't think it was going to have as much power as it did he didn't even test drive it before he bought it and when they delieverd it to him he let me drive it before he even drove it since I have a lot more expierence in cars with a lot of power and he didn't and OH MY GOD talk about power and handling

If you do end up with the Tundra you'll like it. My only complaint is the damn fuel bill is way up. I don't have the 5.7, it's the 4.7 and still only averages about 16 mpg. I know a guy with the 5.7 and he's getting about 13. The 5.7 comes with a 6 speed vs the 5 speed. They claim the extra gear will give it the same mpg as the smaller motor but it's bogus. By the way, I did get four 8 inch Sundown subs behind the rear seat. There's a good bit of room w/ the crewmax model. It's been a nice ride. It drives and turns like a car but still has the flex of a truck.

  4. Yeah, this is right. I really wish I could do the batteries, it's the only thing I've had to exclude from 9.95 shipping rate. I'm happy to honor the "meade" discount. If anyone needs a battery get one soon. Even if it's not from us, all batteries are on the brink of jumping way up. It's made my stomach turn a time or to looking at the upcoming increases.

Guys. I have two left at the regular price. I just have a large buy from someone. Just a heads up. This wasn't expected.

  5. it says that the flat rate shipping does not apply on these ;)

NOTE:Powermaster batteries are excluded from the $9.95 flat rate shipping and may only ship UPS. Please pick UPS option when checking out.

  6. kinda off topic, but how do you think they would do firing up into the seat, or firing down into the floor, i dont have the room from floor to bottom of the seat to have them fire forward

I've always had good luck with down firing boxes. That's actually wanted to do, just no room with all the brackets and so on. Hey, just a note that's also off the topic. I didn't build the box. I ordered it from This site. I've been hammered at work and home lately.
