  1. what car? go to napa look in there gates belt book and find length...they do not go in order or size increments..meaning it would be nice if they went in 1/2 in increments but they dont some jump a inch etc..you could always put a smaller idler pulley also,,to gain the inch or so

Yep- I had to do this at Autozone. I took in my existing belt and told them I need one shorter. Hopefully you can find someone behind the desk that is helpful. The guy who helped me had to make several trips back and forth, but they found one that was spot on. Just compare it to the one you have and put them side by side until you find the right one.

IMO, that would be easiest for you too.

  2. I know some people are using them in an open baffle home setup. I'll look for the picture to give you an idea.

I did manage to find an old school setup with 8 of them in a van

By the Bye; here is a lower cost alternative. Thought about getting a few of these to play with in the car. I am sure that they wouldn't go ham lol but they would be a riot in the car.

    That looks FUN!

Can't say say you would break any records or whatnot, but it would be a low end monster and an eye catcher.

  3. "My job is being a father and spending time with my family. Work just pays the bills."

Not sure about you guys, but there is quite the opposite around me. Lots of folks tend to put work before family.

Just something I felt was worth saying again :)

    Spot on.

I've taken this line from a guy I work with as well. It really came home with the wife and I had a kid. :D

  4. Did your Big3 include a run to the starter?

By removing the old wire you probly disconnected the starter.

    Leave the old wires connected.

    More wire never hurts!

I agree. I think you might not have replaced the starter wire.

    This.

Many cars are wired with the factory alt to the starter, the starter to the battery. There is no telling what the factory wire goes to- a relay, the starter itself or whatever. Hook it back up and have the factory plus your big 3. Just make sure your new alt to battery is fused with an appropriate sized fuse.

  5. He drove a long way to get to Scrapin'. And yeah, he was straight brutal.

Bo is a great guy. He let me borrow his thumb drive to play a sanctioned track. He actually watched for me and when I got in the lane let me use it- he even set the track up and everything. A class act- one of the guys that makes this whole thing fun. :clapping:

Congrats to Bo on the score!

  6. Let me start by saying Much respect to you guys who work in that. I don't know how you guys manage doing that daily.

Have you tried "Florida Water" ??

^ that is the only link I can find on the quick. Basically you add just a bit of it to cool water, dip a rag in it and keep the rag around your neck. The "Florida Water" evaporates more quickly than water, giving it even better cooling properties. Think of it like menthol for your sweat. :D Sounds kind of crazy, but works like a champ.
