  1. postponing hobbies because of "Lack of Money" is a way of life for me ...

Seriously. I feel you on that one. I tell myself that is part of being a "grown up" ...but that doesn't make me feel any better about it.

Just like you are talking about OP, I've got all kinds of crap in my head I wanna' do, and stuff here and there, but I have to make myself not start those things because I haven't done other things that have been sitting on hold even longer. More speakers, system revamp, more lights, body work, paint job, on and on.

I feel you tho- it is frustrating as Hell.

  2. You said it is like someone is stealing your gas....

Does your vehicle have a vented fuel tank / system? Or call for a vented gas cap? If the gas cap isn't vented, then check to see if it is vented somewhere else. If you have a vent that is stopped up with grime, mud, bugs, etc... it could be pressurizing and pushing fuel out instead of venting off like it is supposed to.

I've seen this madness happen. Nearly drove me crazy looking for it once.

  3. Here are a couple more close ups...

What does that say? "Smile When You Say Damn XXX" Yankee? That is funny.

Thanks for sharing. Looking at this is like- no wait, it is amp porn. What a sick Amp. This thing has soul.

  4. Picked up a nice little Taurus ultra light .38SPL snubbie, Magnesium frame, this thing is stupid light, even loaded, it disappears nicely into a back pocket, considering getting an ankle holster for it... nice gun for me to carry now that its getting hot out, especially at work on days when Im only in the office and dont need anything more serious. Sorry for the crap pic...

I have a 44 Special Magnesium Ultra Light that is very similar to what you have there. You aren't joking about being LIGHT. When it is empty you think it is some sort of trick because it is so light. I love that little gun. :D

Gotta' love those 10/22's as well. Yours is sick!

    All Very nice acquisitions sir!

  5. Like has been said- they are power hungry, but it takes power to make power.

Just feed them with the big 3, big alt if you can do it, and the batts. I've had mine for a minute (brutus series) and have never had issue one.

  6. I had just 2 of mine pulled Darrell-

While I was awake too, just a local anasthetic. Afterward, I was all like: "I'm going to work" and my wife said: "Let's wait about 2 hours and see how you do when that local wears off..." So- 2 hours later I was in the 7th level of Hell! Until the Lortabs kicked in! hahaha. My head swelled up and I looked like Stewie from Family Guy. I have no remembrance of this part- but my wife said she caught me stumbling around the house and when she asked "What are you doing?" I shouted in a much crazy state- "I WANT SOME MACARONI AND CHEESE!!!" at the top of my voice. hahaha

Stuff is no Joke Brother. Get feeling better soon. :D

  7. Your attitude goes a long way to getting help. You ask the right questions and dont catch an attitude. That is a rarity. Its obvious you want to learn and aren't here just to find someone to help you. You want to be able to help yourself and others in the future.

    Now about that box

Turn that sucker around put the port at the top and seal it off. You just built your first wall.

    Freakin' nice. :D

I'm coming in late on this one, but yep- putting the subs on the port face, facing it forward and sealing off the sides will be night and day from your original plan.

Just be sure you bolt it down somehow! I dunno if Tahoes/Suburbans have them, but Astros had a hook up for the bench seat. I just used hooks to attach to the former seat hook-up. Get that part done too and you will be golden! :D

  8. 2 different schools of thought on the whole rear fill thing. Just depends- I also only have speakers in the front, but I have had matching sets at all corners before. Every time, I end up liking the front only better.

If you want more volume, you can plug your back speakers off (like you were saying) and run a component set up front off of your front speaker output. I'm assuming you are using just the Head Unit? If so, why not run some extra tweeters or mids in the kicks up front off the power for the rear speakers. Then you can still fade them out (less or more added tweet/mid/whatever)? Just a thought...
