And I finally got "my" truck going again.

Long story made short- this was a company truck that outlasted the company. It was acquired by the new company and after 2 or 3 months, I was able to purchase it. I just now got her worked on and a new timing set put in. So why am I happy to have this truck?? 530,000 miles and 30 miles per gallon. Yes, 30. It actually got 33 on the trip this weekend. So now she is officially mine and is down for 45k miles a year again. I'm thinking some 12"s and a CD player and I will be ready. :D

  2. Hey!!! Look what happened at my house!

    10309650_10201225923648441_2489225493315

Guess what I've been doing all day! That's right, cutting and dragging limbs (with the help of the wife and mom & dad). Guess what I'm doing tomorrow? That's right! The same thing!

Then hopefully on Thursday or the weekend I will be able to put my dog fence back up. Really though- we were crazy lucky. It missed my storage shed, just brushed the house, fell in the dog pen and crushed their house (with them in it) and both of them made it out just fine. ...a little manual labor may be what this fat boy needs.

I wonder.... do I try to build an "all natural" speaker box? ;)

  3. I can vouch for the wrench being a slow blow. They start to glow red riiiiight in the middle. :D You guys don't want to know how I know that.

I think I recall you dropping your wrench on battery terminals and then having to quickly grab it to safe everything, but your hand.

Good memory sir! Yeah- I got clumsy and dropped my wrench. It fell perfectly across 2 batteries and welded itself to the terminals. No choice- I had to grab it or risk greater troubles. My fingers read "CRAFTSMAN" for a while. ...I was the car audio version of the wormy NAZI dude in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark:
