  1. Hell yeah it was hot.. Came back with a suntan.. I tried to get a farewell demo and tell ya bye and all but when i walked over there you were PASSED OUT lol. I tapped you on the shoulder and you didnt move lol.

Better hurry up and get em on here!

Everything go alright on the drive home? OHH tell me about this power wire smoking after i left???? lol

    -BS

....yeah I was passed the fock out..long night it was.

yeah...about that wire :01nocomment8so: It was an over sight on my part. When I put my fuses back in from primering the truck, I did not tighten one of the set screws enough, so there was a shitty connection...I just cut the bad end off the wire and made sure every screw was tight..didn't have a problem at all after I did that.

00 dime00 NICE flex on the wind sheild in the vid of "the guy from greenville" :hairtrick:

    Thanks bro.

I should have the vids up after I get off of work.

  2. Got to wait and see how that will come out (LiL Beast) and today I took the Beast to get it tuned a little better and I did pretty good on the meter

A 153 and change sealed on the glass at 31hz.

133.3 in MECA style drive by peaking at 27hz./ 30 secs

    154.1 Outlaw style at 32hz.

    152.9 streetbeat/USACI

    Tried bassracing and that's hard

    15,000 in Bass

Very nice #'s....Looks like it likes the lows as much as my truck. Mine does a 154.4 @ 36hz, a 152 and change @ 27hz and over a 150 @ 25hz all sealed up on the dash.

Can't wait to hear The Beast. :good:

  3. yea, i will be down there on Monday night to get all the last details finished with the house and business. I will stay for 10 days and come back to NY to p/u the fam/house stuff/ and all my toys. Should be down there for good by August 5. I will go to HIN on JUly 19th to see what Orlando has to offer. I know Pipo will be there from what I read in another forum.

Oh, you have (4) 15", i guess I better handle my business then but I would to get a Demo. I might have to bring the Beast out just in case LiL Beast get his ass handed to him. Big brother is watching.lol

yup..I do have 4 15's..it's nothing special, but gets the job done. :D I want a demo from both the Beast..and LiL Beast :D

  4. My step daughters bf came over with his new 1994 s10 he bought for like $1k its bagged all around, but missing the compressor and to me looked like it was missing the air tank too, but it was dark...

He was telling me how the guy was running his air bags off of the original A/C compressor... I was lost, I never heard that before, but it looks like it was hooked up all lines run to the original a/c compressor location

is there a trick to buying a A/C compressor and hooking up the air tank to it? what kind of PSI is comming from that? it cant be much....

Anyways, just trying to help a kid out

I know a few people that have tried to use the stock Harris compressor as an EDC and all I can tell you is that it will work...but not for long. It probably has a York or a Sanden on it.

you have to use either a YORK or a SANDEN. there is NO WAY you can use a stock a/c compressor off a s10. so he must have had one of those in there. engine driven compressors have their pro's and cons , you have to constantly fill them with oil, or they will burn up, they will go to about 220-240 psi on the big york, if you ever seen an Oaisis compressor , that is the heart of it , with an Oasis you dont have to have it running off your belt assembly. if i were him, i would get 2 viar 380's or 480's on a 8 gallon tank. that's what im running. you can find a used Sanden edc ( eng. driven comp.) from a junk yard for about 40-50 dollars, but then you got to get a mounting bracket for it. ive seen refurbished ones on ebay for about a hundred bucks ( with out the bracket ) btw sandens only go to about 150 psi. some people love them, some people have no time for them cause they are not is reliable as electric compressors ( viar, air zenith, oasis, etc.. ) so anyhow , my suggestion ( or opinion ) is to get some viars and a tank ... btw, you would still need a airtank if you ran an EDC........... ;)

My Sanden 709 does pretty fine by me. I have ran it at 200 PSI daily for the last year without a single problem. I have even had it at 250+ PSI quite a few times....Hell, If I am not mistaken Kris Dye used to run his at 300 PSI daily on his old white S-10. There is a lot more maintenance involved with running an EDC over an electric and there is a hell of a lot more involved in the installation of one. I personally would have an electric as a back up if you do plan on running one.

  5. sealed on the dash legal?

    or

    in the kick?

USACI Street Beat rules for ya David

  6. i got my plate full for sure, the work just never stops. I wish i had a crew and 40hrs a week to plug away but i dont. Im stoked though, i didnt know how to take the dash off as of this morning but now im a pro :D i was sweatin it hard :D

Takin the dash out is the easy part homie...puttin it back in is my least fovorite part. :( Just remember that some extra screws and shit means you put it back in right

Keep up the tight work bro ;)

  7. I used to work at a CC roadshop and Im willing to bet Im not a retard in any aspect of car audio and am probably more knowledgeable than a good majority of this site. dont lump them all together.

Werd. I spent a few years working at various CC Roadshops in CEN FL and all I can say is that not all installers at the retail chains are complete idiots. Few and far between I will agree with tho. ;)

  8. The Baltic Birch that I used on my wall usually only comes in 5'x5' sheets. You can find it in 4'x8' sheets, but it is pretty hard to come by. It is 18mm(almost 3/4") and has 13 plys. It is usually void free in all layers, and comes in grade B/BB. It is lighter than MDF and is much easier to work with compared to most other hardwoods. It has also gone up in price quite a bit since I last bought it. I just did a friends box in it and he paid 65 bux a sheet for it...compared to 41 bux a sheet when I bought mine from the same place a year ago.
