  1. its about time for me to build a new desktop for my gaming needs. I'll def need it for Diablo III.... my laptop nor my current desktop will like my trying to play that too much haha

I don't really do much PC gaming but I may get back into it now that I have a fairly capable platform...lol

What OS(es) are you running on this fun box?

XP pro 32 for now...I'll wait a lil bit for Windows 7 to mature before I throw it on...we will see

  2. Come to think of it....I've never thrown a vid of the booger in here. This is one I did tonight on just 2 of the 2500.1's.

    type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>">

  3. Fucking TITS

    :D I knew you'd like that...lol

thats sick, is there a 250 mm fan on topof the case?

why is your heatsink/ cpufan crooked?

200MM...And the reason why its crooked is that the evga p55 boards have mounting holes for either an lga775 or an lga1156 cpu cooler...with the lga775 being turned a little bit. Doesn't affect performance any, just looks crooked.

Forgot to add that the V8 only has brackets out for lga775 and lga1366 right now... :(

  4. just gettin this bish done? thats a sexy cooler you got on there :)

man, i really need to build a desktop :\

so time from start to finish?

lol...I was helpin Monk build his box in the sierra while building it too fool...but total time start to finish was about 5 hours including software and all updates.

those are some nice internals you got there :good: i likey. makes me wanna upgrade. except mine is holding its own still. until it cant...i'll keep it

Thank you...It's not the greatest but it should take me a few years to outgrow.

  5. Just got done with a new computer build for myself. I broke down and finally upgraded for the first time in 4+ years....I outgrew my P4 3.0 and HAD to upgrade.

    Here's the list

    Antec 1200

    Core I7 860

    EVGA P55 FTW mobo

    EVGA GTX 275

    Corsair TX750W PSU

    4 gigs of Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 for now..lol

    CM V8 CPU cooler

    WD Velociraptor 150gb HDD

So far I've got it oc'd to 3.79ghz with no issues what-so-ever. I've got to finish cleaning up the wiring a little bit more and then I'll be happy...lol

It's by far faster than my old rig....I'm loving it

  8. i got pics bro but i was burnt out by evening time and to be honest, its not a whole lot to look at.....its just 12 and 16ga speaker wire that went from a tangled up ball of copper to a nice clean run or two or 10. I ran it so its hard to see but trust me its clean! Ill get something up, possibly a 30 second update of some sort if i cant make much of it :)

besides, my wifes days off were yesterday and today so i try and go inside the house a little earlier so we can spend some family time. The rest of the week its an all out bachelor pad (with me and my 2 sons, and on weekends David too!) so i work till i drop but on her days off i try to at least eat the dinner she cooks..........(bachelor pad = too much crap food all the time :D )

That wad of wire looked like a ball of yarn exploded...lol. Props for having the patience to go through that. And BTW guys...Steve's cooling setup works VERY well...hell I almost lost a finger to it a couple of times...
