Yes I'm quite set on sundown. And have around 800 for the subs. ThanksLike miguels said, u have lots of options with ur power. Do u have a budget? Are you set on sundown?
-
How much the subs will move depends on a lot of things like how close the song is to tuning, the box size, port size, etc. So simply watching a video isn't evidence enough that a 6500w amp will fail to power two 2500w subs. But if you getting another sub you will need more power as you suggestI was afraid that wouldn't be enough power..saw a vid on YouTube with a guy that have the same truck add mine have two nightshades with a ns1 and the subs look like they are barely moving

So due to cone area two 12s is my best bet in that space. I will look into 2 x12s or 2 zv3 12s(but leaning towards the Xs due to xmax . I know for sure 2 zv4s will be underpowered by the 3500 lol so I wouldn't bother trying. I'm trying to do a full sundown setup. Will be getting my wiring soon too..

Ok so I did abit of some research over the zv3s and sounds like a good plan. The issue is that after subwoofer displacements (0.48ft3) and port volume of close to 1.5ft3 will leave me with less than 5 cubes net. So seems two 15s is out of the question
-
I have never heard the zv3s before. Are they good low end monsters like the Xs and zv4s?
-
Hey people. With 7 cubes gross. What subs do you guys suggest would give best output for daily on that kinda power. Was debating between 2 x12s or 1 zv4 15. Thanks
-
Your build will depend on how well built you box is. The reason is impedance rise. A 2000w amp will underpower a zv4 unless you have completely no rise. So perfect sub to match that amp would be the X series. Though you could also get the zv4 then work on building an efficient box. So if you gat space get the zv4
-
I hear they are slightly more efficient but haven't proved yet. Or you could just save a it more and get the scv 2000

Personally I like mine at around 65 hz

Yes I have. There officially no dealers in south africa. Bryan from sundown has just replied to my email with distributor info. Thnks for the reply though

Hey people. Anyone here have a contact person for sundown products in South Africa??
-
Sorry triple post

Yah sounds ok but personally I would do a max of about 5.5 cubes with around 90 sq inches of port

I would go for the X12s. So that when you wanna upgrade you just need to get a bigger amp. X series are sum tough subs bro. You can compensate for the power by building a slightly bigger box than recommended..

Yah impedance rise and voltage drop are major issues in most of our setups. Last test I ran a saz-2000d @ 1 ohm and only clamped 850w @ 12.2v .
How big is your box? I'm running the same amp @ 1. Only dropping to 13.
By then I had a 4 cube box running a single HDC3 15 but had stock 90a alt and two 70aH AGMs

Hey people, does anyone know how much power this amp puts out at 0.5 ohm??
-
Nice man. So for 1 amp what electrical would you advice?
-
That's some beefy electrical you gat there. How is your voltage?Run 320amp mechman and 3 d3100 on two saz-3500v2 strapped at 1ohm both amps seeing .5ohm just fine. But added 2 more d3100 because I want to go with one amp and bigger
-
Hey guys. What electrical are you guys using on this amp @ 1 ohm or 0.5 ohm?? And is 1 run of 0 gauge enough
-
Thanks for the input people. I thing I just realised is I measured speaker output voltage and clamped the speaker positive bt did not check the voltage at the amps power cables lol. I could be running low voltage
-
Ok so my test was fine??
-
Ok I will when I get the chance to record. Ok only thing is I gat 2 clamp meters and no dmm. What I did was clamp the positive speaker cable and put on A~ 200. Then the other clamp meter I put the leads on to the positive and negative on the speaker outputs and set clamp on AC. Then ran 35 hz tone 40 hz and 50 hz tone. Best results were at 35 hz though box rise was way above normal dnt you think
