980's are pretty pointless, 780Ti matches them clock for clock give or take a couple fps here and there. If you're moving off 600 series cards they're ok upgrades, but 970's are a way better buy..

I have been out of the game since 2007 so I don't really know the specs for most of the cards available. I'll admit, I was just using the newest one as an example because, well, it's the newest. I've started my research back up to figure out what I want for my new up coming build so I've been seeing a couple things about the new cards and the last gen ones as well. I think the last graphic card I bought was a 8800 GTX.

Yesterday was a bottle of Jack and 2 liter of Coke while playing Destiny with friends. Went through the whole thing by the end of the raid. I don't even remember what gear I got haha

The same one I am using today Audiobahn A8000t. Working great for me now and pushes my Type R's enough for me to enjoy it. It does get pretty hot though even with a built in fan.
