  1. i was eyeballin' that monitor the other day. I was turned off by the 60hz thing. I am already on 60hz. But i can only imagine how great it would look if i had that single monitor and my cards in SLI driving it. They are used to driving 3 monitors, but if 3 cards were driving one monitor like this, it should be incredible. I don't mind the bezels one bit though. Within a few minutes of playing, i don't even notice them. I am usually focused on the middle monitor and the side ones are like my peripherals. They totally disappear.

i like it but i might just wait. Id like to see this @ 120hz or better and i would buy it today.

Exactly why I won't touch the 4k yet. 30hz is the norm, 60hz are stupid expensive.

The Qnix can be overclocked and people are getting +/- 96hz out of them. Not bad for a 1440p.

  2. Ive never had over a 60hz monitor but the real estate without the bezels is a game changer for me. I do a lot of Excel work and really could use the landscape. Blah, let's be honest, just for gaming. Saw it over in Fry's and I ran out the door to keep me from blowing 900 bucks on it.

I guess the korean Qnix montiors would be a close second.

My screen name here is my origin name. Add me and i'll be down to play BF4 anytime im not at the gym(or working).

  3. Some nice setups there.

Is SMD running the GPU under water too?

Yes, Steve's GPUs and CPU are on a loop. Just check out his build log I posted.

I'm thinking of a good 4k monitor, I would just need to get another 280x to go with it.

I might stick it out and save up for one or I might bite the bullet and just go 1440p. It just depends on how I like the monitor I ordered for my friend's build.

Completely forgot to look at his build. looking at them now.

Okay, that monitor sold me. That will be my next purchase.

That's exactly what I said when I saw this.

    My setup

    CPU

    3570K OC to 4.7ghz

    cooling

    H80i watercooler

    mobo

    MSI z77a-g45

    SSD

    Crucial m4 256gb ssd

    Ram

Corsair vengeance 1600 OC to 1866

    PSU

    Thermaltake 750w bronze

    GPU

    EVGA GTX 770 (mild OC).

    Dell 27" 1080p monitor

Planning on getting this very very soon.

Which means I would need at minimum a second 770. Might even go to the 780 6gb because a lot of games are maxing out the 3gb on the 780ti.

  5. How well do you think I could play this game? Obviously couldn't have things maxxed out but on a scale 1-10 with 10 being best is it even worth it?

That's prolly all that matter but I do have multiple HD's, and an after market air cooler for the CPU and am running WIndows 7 64 bit home premium. I just know that I don't play many games but I used to and I like things to play smoothly etc.

Also, my internet is 20+ down and 2 up

It will play it just fine. I built a similar setup to that about 6 months ago for a friend, no issues so far. He is running 660 sli though.
