yeah im thinking of having the sub face the back of the car, but as far as my box specs go do you guys think this will serve the sub well? should i go bigger, smaller, id like to go no bigger then 2.5 and 80% of the songs will be rap but i dont want it to sound like sweaty ass..lol

hey guys, i was playing around with some specs on 12volt and i was looking at the specs for a sealed fi q 15 suggested from 2-2.6 cu ft..i was wondering if there would be issues with having the sub fire up? i will be using sound dampener for the car itself..im thinking of going 2.2-2.3 cu ft? with these specs for box w-26'' h-12'' the sub will be dropped here and mounting depth is 8.5'' on the sub d-17'' thickness 0.75'' this gives me 2.30751 so reason i ask is cause i was told not to have the sub firing up in the trunk of a car..any suggestions on this? car is a 2007 cadillac cts

ok cause here is what i was going to do, with 475 watts i was gona go with either 1 10 which is rated at 500 watts and put 450 into it or i was going to go with 2 10's and put about 230 watts into each..but if i can get the 750 out of it that will be much better for the 2 10's..im just not to technical on this stuff so i was worried about over heating or clipping..not sure if it would be stable with a combo like that

(5th Channel Only) so i was wondering can i wire my components at 4ohms and my sub on the sub channel at 2 ohms? or is this not possible to do safely? meaning do both either have to be 2 ohm or 4ohm..no mixing?

i dont have a dmm, and im trying to wire them to a 4 channel amp i know its either 2 ohm or 4 ohm, i never heard of anyone wiring multiple component sets to a 4 channel amp at 1ohm..

so i would get a 4ohm load?

heres my deal..first fo all let me say i keep getting different answeres and its driving me crazy..im using 2 sets of component speakers and each set consist of 2 6.5'' speakers and 2 tweeters and they are 4ohms..and come with there own x-overs..so in total i will be wiring 4 tweeters, and 4 6.5'' speakers and they come with 2 of there own x-overs..what is the final ohm load that i will get? i seriously need help with this please..

got a friend whos on a tight budget and really doesnt want to spend alot of this hobby..what he has is a 2001 pontiac grand am 4 door and he wants to keep the factory speakers and add a alpine head unit,1 15'' sub in a sealed box and a mono amp..what do you guys think?
