-
If the bassboost was set high you where DEFFO clippin it!
Wich leads to propper sub fuckin!
-
This should be nice! Deffo tuned in on this one!
Like the whole loud and classy thing:D
-
Interesting, how many sub connections are there? Meaning, do you wire all 4 subs to 2 ohm or 2 of the subs to 1 ohm and the other 2 subs to 1 ohm?
You can look at it like a 2-channel amp. It has 2 + and 2 -.
It bridges itself inside the amp, wich meens i can run 2ohm to each channel! And it will give each "individual" amp 1 ohm.
Thats at least how it works.
So the best is the subs in pairs. And each pair wired at 2 ohm`s each. So the best thing whould be dual 2 ohm right?
-
what amp are you getting?
What are the ratings at what ohms?
The amp i am looking at (but keeping my options open) is a Soundmagus X-3000 or a 3200.
It is rated at 3000wRms at 2 ohm. That is 1 ohm to each amp, it is 2 x-1502`s linked inside!
But im allso looking at some other options!
-
Peaches!
Then ill go for dual 4 ohm!
-
Yes four 12s are 452 square inches vs. two 15s with 353 square inches.
You might want to step up to a 2000 watt amp if you get four 12s.
The CVRs are 500 watt rms each, so thats a total of 2000 watt rms.
Your amp opitions will change when you get four 12s.
yeah, im able to get 3000wRms fairly cheap. So that is no problem!
If they are dual 2`s i can put them in 1 ohm. And if its dual 4 ohm i can get them in 2 ohm correct?
Because if i can get all of them to 2ohm. Even wire 2 and 2 subs to 2 ohms each whould be gret!
-
Wait a minute now, While i love my T1 15s I truely think they are over priced. Just keep your opitions open for subs.
You could get FI BL's for the same price as the RF 15s. The kicker CVR's are cheaper but i don't think the quaility is as good as RF or FI. Might look at getting some better kickers so they last longer. If you can be responsible and not pound the CVRs all the time other then the 30 seconds for bassracing, then they should last you awhile.
Hmm, that sounds good!
Can get a good deal on 4 12" CVR`s for measly 196$ but i have to add 284$ in shipping!
But that is WAY CHEAPER then what i can get them from i Norway!
I could buy these from INDO AUDIO off e-bay!
So 4-12" should be more cone then 2 15"`s
-
Thanks!
Well its decided!
Its going to be 2 15" Woofers. In a huge ass box!
BUT!!
Amp is not yet decided! As i need to get the items sent to NORWAY.
So i have to look for either 2 15" T1`s And a T10001 maby? Since ive heard you cant go wrong with RF:D
-
Thanks for the tip, where on ebay can i findt that audioshop... cant seem to find it?
Anyone have a link?
-
Still bumpin for some opinions guys!
Come on, throw them in here!

Thanks for the answers guys, truly amazing!
Well im currently running a POS homemade box with a TXX-AP12RD in it. With 500wRms ROCKFORD RMS on it.
And it is freekin loud to the ear just that.
I am able to use arround 5000 NOK. That is arround 1000$
But the prices on audio equipment in the states is so different from the prices here in norway.
But that is the budget ive set.
The max dimensions i have without removing the rear seat it:
33" Wide
18" High
24" Deep.
That is below the windowline.
So i am on limited space. But i can bet i can at LEAST fit:
4 10"
3 12"
2 15
Now you have budget:
1000$
The car:
VW Golf MK2 1986 GTD
Electical:
Stock 90A Alternator.
0/1 Gauge run from positive to the back.
0/1 Gauge run for the negative as well.
Big 3 soon to be installed
Hopefully a Optima red Top up front.
I hope you have all the information you guys need!
And i am REALLY greatfull for your help guys!
Thanks alot.
You are a great lot of peapole!

So 4 12" comps wont take 1500wRms?
Well that makes me happy! but whould i be ABLE to do 139.9 bassrace?
-
I can make room for anythin really.....
-
Well 4 12" kicker COMP series in a ported box, with 1500wRms on them.
Or how will 2 15" COMPvR`s do with 1000-1500wRms do?
-
-
What car?
Its my 1986 VolksWagen Golf GTD MK2
-
Well the question is as follows:
How can i get to do 139.9 class in Bassrace, and do it cheap(ish).
Whould i be able to do it with:
4 12"
4 10"
2 15"
With subs like:
Kicker Comp 10-15"
Memphis PR 10-15"
AudioPipe TS-series 10-15"
I have limited space if i want to keep my rear seats, if im gonna remove them im gonna have TONS of space to play with.
And im gonna run on limited power. Anything from 1000-1500wRms is what i can manage!
This is a CHEAP build for funsies! I want to compete with it for FUN... nothing serious.
What whould i need?
-
Rest in peace...
-
Well i baught some stuff today that i got to a good price:
Rockford Fosgate Punch 3.5":
Rockford Fosgate Punch 4*6":
Just deciding if imma buys a 6.5" coax and have in the back as well
-
Well I love my Infinitys and they keep up with my subs and they aren't even powered by an amp!
Yeah but Infinity is a bit expensive over here in norway:S
-
if your not happy with the Deici i honestly dont see how youd like the DS, but its your money..GL
Well today i found out that the Dieci set DOSENT like beeing run on an amp. Gains were set right and everything was as it should have been. But i KILLED THEM!
They are now dead for some reason, dont know why! So now i actually need something! Running stock 3.5" koax in the front now -.-
So im open to any suggestions at the moment!
The DS series is on top of my list because they are ass cheap and ive heard good things about them!
But throw me some suggestions guys!
