for everyone thinking 2k rms to just subs, i said TOTAL system, including mids n highs fellas.
i was thinking 1k for the subs.

might be just me but i didnt like how the CVRs picked up the lows..on 1500watts..why i went to the L7s..But deff i aint knockin the CVRs i had 4 of the 12s and 4 of the CVR 10s...
they picked up some of the lows pretty nicely

You'll be more than happy with the cvrs if like you said money's a factor
i had 2 12" cvrs in a sealed box and it did plenty good for me. but i like lowssss and im wondering which ones would be better.
dc lvl 2's or 15 cvrs?

well 2krms isn't really that small to be honest, im running right around 2krms also, and im gonna add a D3100 to the trunk when summer rolls around. Your still gonna have significant voltage drops. Im not 100% what the lvl 2 go for, but the CVR's have great value, because you can't beat that bang for the buck.
oh i know 2k rms isnt small at all, im going to add maybe 2 batteries and get a yellowtop upfront so would i still have voltage drop?

do you have alot of room to work with? 2 lvl 3 15s may be around that price im not sure.. pm WCA Rusty and see what price he gives ya
lvl 3's are only a few bucks over the 400$ range and i would for sure get them if i had the $$. Im going to get a 2 door blazer or something of the sort so im sure im going to have lots of room
idk if i should say the prices or not so if i shouldnt let me know ill edit my post.

if i were to buy cvrs i'd save a little bit of money, but i've heard nothing but good things from DC so im willing to spend the extra bucks to get the lvl two's. i could get level 3 15's for a good price but its over my 400$ limit, not by much at all though.

is money a limiting factor?
i want to spend about 400$ on sub(s) alone and im thinking about 2k rms for a total system so i wont have to do much for my electrical. money IS a limiting factor.

there are alot of bassheads down there...frankie, gmonk, jracer, alot of the loudest bassrace vehicles are from that area..im about an hour north of orlando...sadly im not loud

that was my first real car setup that wasnt borrowed or something, 2cvr's in a kicker box off a xplod 1200, that i changed out for an infinity 1600a as soon as i got a paycheck
those things were great
i mean for spending 300$ on the crossover,amp,subs,box i dont think it was a bad deal at all.

if you dont mind me asking how did you or what did you use to hook them up in your roombattery. RCA to headphone jack wire
basically my computer/ipod whatever i played it off of acted as the headunit. and i used a headphone jack splitter to hook up my z-2300 also.

maybe that was it my hu only has a 2volt preout. will be upgrading that soon. come to think of it it was behind the seat of my truck so maybe it would work in this situation. ever meter your cvr's

yea he does. idk what it was with the one i had. it got hot as hell. ever have any prolems with that?
did you have it in a small spot or something?
and it got just a little hot sometimes on very long drives full tilt.
also getting a hu with high preout voltage helps it play cool also

same exact system im trying to put on it.
just got my other set today. in my last setup i had them on a kicker 750 but i just cant affor that right now. so you say its a pretty good amp?
i know other users on here that use it also with no problem. Just make sure you set the gain properly by ear or dmm. i had them in a 99 tacoma ext cab in a sealed box. banged pretty loud.
i believe ptcary uses that amp. or the 1500

did you drop it down to 1 ohm
was actually running 2 12" kicker cvrs d4 ohm down to 1 ohm

already had that amp it sucked^^^^ got realy hot. almost burned to the touch.
i ran that amp for 3 months straight on over 14.4v and it ran fine.
come to think about it i ran it before i did anything to my electrical before i totalled my truck.
