Zv4's like small enclosures, so that works with your trunk space. 3.5 cubes, 50" of port area. An 8" aero is ideal. As for power, an SCV 3k would be my choice.

My daily driver has a NSv3-15 w/spl softies on a SCV 4k and our shop ride has a Zv5-15 w/spl softies on a SCV 3k.

[Amplification decision]

I am planning a build in my '04 Trailblazer. I recently acquired two Atomic APX 15's that are boxed up and ready to go to PSI for recones. I have decided that I'm definitely purchasing Sundown amplification. The decision is this: should I use two SCV-2000's or one SCV-4000? I need to make this decision so I can have the subs reconed with the proper VC's. If I ran two SCV-2k's I'd order D2's and wire each sub to one amp at 1 ohm. If I go with the SCV-4k I'd order D1's for a one ohm load on the 4k.

Which way should I go? The price difference is negligible, and I'm prepared to pay for quality power to feed these subs. They're the Atomic 818 motor, and I'm having them built to take anything I can throw at them.

The first system I heard was back in 1990. A friend had a pair of Pyle subs in a huge bandpass box powered by a Pyramid amp. Total pile of shit, but that got me started. I had a SQ system in a 1999 Dodge Intrepid powered by Soundstream- with an old Sony Mobile ES head unit. What happened to Soundstream.
