I will soon have the X-15 V.2 that has recently been released, and I originally decided on a SCV-1500 or the SCV-2000.
However, is there a better amp that is more efficient than either of those and still within the 1500-2000 range?
Or just any personal recommendations?

Ahaha, nah man. If I were you personally I would get the two SA 12's DVC 4 Ohm and the Audiopipe 1500.1. and take that to a shop in your city and get them to build you a box to spec for those woofers. Then get them wired at 1 Ohm, obviously. This should run you somewhere below $1,000 after the box build and installation, and will be a sick setup for your first car, that will last a very long time before you should ever get bored of it.

I thought the 1200.1 couldn't hold 2 sa 12 since there 600watt each and I got a 340 watt headunit sorry guys I'm still new to car audio

What is the best place if I decide to get a hifonics I found them on Amazon would that be my best bet?
Sonic Electronix is an amazing distributor with excellent customer support. btw, make sure you get the Hifonics Brutus line, and not the Zeus.
Also how hard is it to install a bass control remote
It's literally just a plug and play type of controller, one end goes in the amp, the other is the knob that you control. The only difficult part is tucking away the wire from sight. Many people just run them through their car without hiding it though, which personally, I cannot stand.
I know this is a dumb question but what's the difference between 2 ohms and 4 ohms
Here's the simplest answer in terms of general knowledge for deciding what ohm load you need. If you're running 2 subs, you will want them both to be Dual 4 Ohm in order to achieve a 1 Ohm load. If you're running 1 sub, you'll want a Dual 2 Ohm in order to achieve a 1 Ohm load.
You don't HAVE to run at 1 Ohm, but that Power Rating you see on the Hifonics Brutus 1200.1 amp, for example, is measured at 1 Ohm.
Subwoofer wiring guides are very easy to find online, just google them if you need a little more detailed description.

Hey Guys I got my first car a few weeks ago it's a 93 foxbody and i need help on deciding on sa12s or sa 10s I'm gonna try to use a vm audio amp and and before I decided in sundowns I put kicker speakers all around I need some opinions and advice will this build work out and not turn out to sound like junk?
With proper tuning you can make just about anything sound good. Of course better quality equipment will sound better though.

You could look at the Hifonics Brutus line which are cea compliant, avoid the Zeus though. Fairly cheap amps with decent output, but that cheap price comes with some down sides.

Personally, I would get 2 12's.
What is your total budget? I would recommend a different amp for sure.

So many times we see people buy gear and unable to install it because they don't have the wire, batteries and deadener and all the gear sits in a closet for months at a time instead of installing and using the gear.
I like everything you just said and agree. So I'm pretty much certain now that I think I would rather save myself the money and trouble, and just go with an X-15 on a SCV-1500d. That alone will cost almost $1000. Plenty leftover to upgrade electrical and afford a good box.
I think this decision is final... thanks to all those who helped, this forum is so helpful!

I doubt you will have the room for 3 15s in a trunk.. 10 cubes NET in a trunk. Unlikely.

just 1 D4 X12? you couldnt run that at a 1 ohm load nominal, only 2 ohm or 8 ohm, if you got two of them then you could run 1 ohm nominal. Or just get a single D2
oops! sorry, you're right! My P3's were both D4 and had them at 1 ohm. I was thinking 1 D4 could also be at 1 ohm, lol

Okay, I think I've changed my mind and decided to go for something a little more modest.
SCV-1500d
X-12 D4 @ 1 ohm
This will run me about $850, not including the box and installation. I feel I would be quite pleased with this, or exchange the X-12 for two SA-12's.
Any Opinions?

So, recently I was given a nice little gift and was told to spend it on whatever makes me happy. Well, bass makes me happy.
I've always wanted a Sundown system that literally would just destroy my friend's ears...
What I'm expecting to get from this build is a rediculous frequency range that can absolutely murder lows, and of course have decent sound in mids too!
I am 19 years old and my most recent setup was 2, 12 inch P3's on 1150~ RMS in some gigantic overly high tuned box and it was, meh. With this build, I would really like for it to be my last build too. Even though I said that about my last one...
Anyways! I resorted to this forum in hopes of meeting some new acquaintances who are more than willing to help me out here.
With that said ^^ I'm looking for the best bang for my buck. I want the best possible setup in the $1500-$2000 range and I haven't been involved with car audio long enough to really know what to get, but I know I want Sundown. However, I am very open minded and if anyone feels the need to suggest other high quality brands be my guest, but provide facts.
What I need: 1-2 subs preferably. Amp.
Possibly new wire? I have 4 gauge on like a DB Audio 100 something amp fuse.Wiring Kit. And as for the box, I'm going to go with custom, but I want to know what everyone here would like to suggest before I decide what box to get.btw, I drive a car with a huge trunk so space shouldnt be an issue.
