  1. theres nothing to really show.... its stuck in there u can't see it. I'll try the knife thing, i'll try the cd under it too. How far should I push it in there to go under neath it?

Press the eject button and slide the CD under the one that is in there. Try it back and forth and continue to press eject, if that doesn't work then try the knife thing.

  2. are you sure you have accessory wire running into the stock harness??

hook the red and yellow together. if it comes on then you'll have to run an accessory wire to the ignition harness for when you to the key it turns the radio on.

Nothing. I did it from the back of the H/U to the new harness. Should I be doing it from the car harness to the head unit?

  3. Alright well I added an amp to my car for testing. I unplugged the battery and had to plug it back in and when I tried to start it, it had troubles starting because of the disconnectoin of the battery. So When I went to start it I also tried to put a cd in. The cd was just sitting half way in so while I tried to start it again and just pushed the cd in. The cd player will not read it, and it cannot eject it becuase it doesn't see it as it's in there.

It is a 2002 ford explorer, and it is the regular (not 6 disc) cd changer. I read to either grab it with plyers (can't find needle nose small enough) or take it out. I don't know how to take it out either so can someone help!

Slide another CD under it and press the eject button, sometimes that works.

  4. I'm having a problem with my new head unit. I own a 1989 Honda Civic DX hatch. Just bought an Alpine CDA-9884 saturday and KNOW it works because I purchased it off the wall. I wired up the harness, plugged it in and nothing. Checked my wiring and tried again, nothing. Re-checked wiring, checked fuses, nothing. Swapped fuse on head unit and radio fuse in car, nothing. I can't figure out my volt meter so I couldn't test it but I did undo the ground from the harness and tried against metal on car, it sparked, held it there and still nothing. I've gone back and checked for loose wires on harness, and connection to battery from factory wiring to harness. Does anyone see something I may be doing wrong? Or is there anyone out there with the slightest idea of something I'm missing? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

  5. 1000 is for subs, amp, wiring, and box.

That is plenty to make something loud despite what anyone will probably pop up and say in this thread.

Do some research and don't jump then gun. Watch vids, listen to your friends setups, ask opinions, etc. Take the time to see what you would be intrested in.

Another good choice sub that is very loud, lots of boom and great if you're not competing is the Kicker S15L7.

  6. well for $1000 what would you guys recomend? im looking for my music to be really loud but have a really strong bass. music where you just cruise around and cant hear anything. would you guys recomend 1 18" or 2 12" subs? what amp should i look into? brands of the subs the whole 9? really apreciate it!!!

Check Fi, DC (Personal Fav), DD, Audioque, RE, Rockford, JL, Kicker, T3, Cactus, Soundstream, ***, Sundown, Diablo Audio Technologies. They all make good equipment IMO.

    $1000 though? DC level 4xlD4 18 w/ AQ2200 @ 2 ohms, tuned however.

Grab a $100 wire kit and slap a box together. You'll impress your friends and spare your wallet.

    I'd look into that.

  7. Well i just bought 2 12in re sr subs with a sealed box with 4 gage wire. And using a kicker 650x4 channel amp. I have it in a ford ranger ext cab. But looking to get more db i have hit around 100 db looking to go higher. Any suggestion, thought about 4 12in subs or just up gradeing to 2 12in re se subs.

I don't understand. You want to do four twelves, but for a dual twelves ported enclosure you can't keep your back seats in?

    Uh ok. :01nocomment8so:

  8. I have plenty of experience with this.

    let me ask you this,

It seams you have made it into a daily habit. Can you go without? And for how long. When you are off the sauce do you always think about it and when you are going to get it next?

Your not an alcoholic yet, but are really on your way if you don't stop. If you were an alcoholic, you wouldn't be resuming in normal daily activities or even posting on here about it.

But trust me when I say, continue down the path you are taking now and you will learn what a real hell on earth is. Alcoholism runs in my family, I know way more about it and the program then most ever should.

Damn that really does put it into perspective. I've never asked myself those questions. Alcoholism runs in my family too but I never looked at it as something you can pass down to someone else, I really still don't know if you can or not. I always figured it was something that went in a chain from people in familiy's seeing other members do it. Then again if it's bad enough it can be the latter and people stay away from it because of those members, I still don't understand it really. Thanks for that advice though I'm gonna be thinking about that.

  9. I knew people that did and said the same and now there fucked up they cant go a day without a drink and they started out like you, they didn't plan on it but its like cigarettes you cant stop and you do it more and more. Im not saying this is gonna be you but everyone that started like you ended up fucked up

Yeah I've heard of those stories too, and I'm not saying that I have any more will power than anyone else that says that. Thanks for the advice everyone, after this weekend I guess I'm gonna start to cut back some.
