Yeah the power wire is fused 12" from the battery, a local shop threw that 2nd fuse in i dont know why buy they did. I was planning on rewiring everything cuz all of the wiring was done on my 1st system by a local shop. The power wire is a 4 gauge but when i rewire im gonna upgrade to a 0/1 gauge. The irregular trunk pisses me off, my system could be much louder if it was flush against the back seat. The only idea i could come up with is removing the back seat completely at throwing in 2 bucket seats, and building a wall that sits between the 2 bucket seats in the back and in the trunk build a false floor and put all the amps etc back there.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any mobile audio schools. The only one that i heard of is Acoustic Edge.

Like i said in earlier post i JUST put this in nothing fancy yet, but heres what i have. Its a shitty job but at least its something. If you guys can give me any ideas on building a box that will fit against the back of the rear seat i am open to suggestions. As you can see in a few of these pics the trunk has an incline for the spare tire so the universal box i have has to sit at the very front of the trunk.

Ill take some pics the next nice day, my system is just thrown together nothing fancy right now. I'm trying to teach myself how to make some good quality boxes. I'm trying to figure out how i can build a box that will fit snug against the back of the rear seat, the trunk isnt flat it has a incline for the spare tire which i removed from the car. I had 4 systems already but the system i have now is the first one i hooked up on my own.

I put a interstate battery in. What kind of alt would you guys recommend?

A little about my car, its a 1983 Chevy Impala 4 door big body. I have a Alphasonik PMA600HC Amp, 2 12inch MTX Jackhammer JH4512X2D, a lightning audio LSD10DT-03 Capacitor, i also have 2 Boston SL95 6x9's, and 2 Boston S75 4x6's, the HU is a Pioneer Premier DEH-P980BT. The Problem i am having is my headlights Dim extremely bad at night time and when i am stopped at a light with my system on my car will die, i just put a new battery in and i installed my capacitor from my old system. What can i do to fix this. I am just getting into doing my own installs so i dont know to much about it.

I have the Pioneer DEH-P9800BT and it is a really good unit, a lot of different features. 16 band eq is very nice. Another cool thing about the 9800 is you can make your own custom movie that will play as a background on your cd player. You can change all of the backgrounds on you hu.
