you say 32hz is good for a daily pounder and aboute 40hz is for spl... and im building a pure bass boxing car and some one told me the freq. of cross roads by bone thugs and harmony was 50hz so do i tune my port to that???
Well tune it a lil lower than that so it peaks at around that note if thats what u want.
Theres a lot better songs to bassrace with though.

Holy crap u gained 10dbs from facing forward.....will it normally be that big a diff?
I can test it out no prob on the meter....but its gonna be a pain tryin to seal it off...only cuz im lazy.
Like does it have to sealed air tight or just blockinf it.....i dont get the reasonin behind it....anyone wanna explain a lil further like the technicla aspect of why sealin it works....thanks.

Ok...soo my friend was braggin about that since he put his stuff back in his car it was a lot louder.
And i was saying that nahhh he was just not used to it anymore.
A few other friends were saying...it really is louder than before..and thats its prolly louder than mine now.
So i challenged him to a friendly lil bass race.And taped it.
So here are the setups:

Not sure of box dimensions or tuning,maybe around 35hz or so.
and
Me:
1 15" Type R
1 Planet Audio vx1400
3.5cuft @ 32hz

random old question....but what was wrong with that old box u had with 2 on top and 2 on the side with aeroports?Beast of a build,really puts mostly everyone else to shame lookin at this stuff.

This is SPLbeast's MASTER BUILDER and ahhh......haha nahh just a friend thats gonna help him out with this one.
Anyways,couple of quick questions.
So you would say its realisticly possible with 2 12 MTs and 4 Soundstreams 2000 to break 150s on the dash legal.
I know we're gonna have to try all kinda different combinations with boxes,i have a Termlab so thats no problem.
But also another option i was tellin my friend about,what about 1 18" MT in the same size box as the 2 12s would be with i guess 2 SS 2000,would this not be about the eqivilant to the 2 12s?Considerin box size and what not.
And one more for the road......MTs and Music= OK for daily driver?
We were thinkin runnin 1 amp for daily drivin and strapped for contests and what not.
