Already tried negative terminal on 2 & 4 and i still get nothing; going to try 1 & 3 this evening and see how that goes; thanx for the response anyway i appreciate itSometimes on channels 2 & 4 on four channel amps the signal comes through the negative terminal. Try that. That's how it is on my AQ 90x4. I think it even has that in the DD-1 manual as a trouble shooting step.

I have actually only tried 2 & 4 so far, thats my luck...i will try channels 1 & 3 tomorrow; but i dont understand that, u should get a signal threw all of them. I will update my results tomorrow, hope it works!!

Plug the probes in to one of the adapters and tighten it down so it touches the probe also how are the filters set? try putting it to full range just make sure you dont have any speakers connected
Also i have amp set to full range, no speakers connected

Probe it with a DMM and see if you're getting voltage.
Guys i am still getting no signal to the dd1 from the pdx-v9 amp..the amp works perfectly fine, i just can't seem to get a signal..i am running my highs off of channel 1 & 2, mids off 3 & 4, and sub off channel 5...i just don't understand why i cant get a signal...has anyone used a dd1 with the pdx amp, if u do please help, thank you.

Are you trying to probe the pins in the amp or using the adapters?
Just jab a piece of speaker wire in there the way it would normally be if you need to.
I am probing the speaker adapters, i have put red probe on each adapter side(positive and negative side and nothing) so u r saying just cut a piece of speaker wire and just touch the probe to the speaker wire after i put the wire in the adapter? I actually even put the speaker wire back in the adapters earlier and still got no signal? Before i used the dd1 on my amp, i used it on my buddies and it worked perfect, but it has the regular amplifier outputs.

This is my first post on steve meade's dd1 page. I recently purchased the dd1 and i am having a hard time using it with the Alpine pdx-v9 5 channel amp. Will someone please tell me where to put the red test probe from the dd1 on the pdx-v9's speaker outputs. This amp's outputs are different than regular amp outputs, if someone has used the dd1 with any alpine pdx amplifier please tell me where to put the red test probe. I have the all speakers unhooked from the amp, and i have the black wire grounded on amp ground and I am putting the other red test probe on the pdx-v9 speaker output little bar that holds the speaker wire when its connected to the amp and i can not get any signal period. Please help me and let me know were to put the red test probe. All help is greatly appreciated!! Thanx!!
Please Help setting DD1 with Alpine pdx-v9
