Agreed to set gains correctly as all have said.
In addition, i'd try turning your subsonic filter down...assuming you have a decent box for those subs, you probably have no need to run the subsonic at all.
What would be considered off on the subsonic

Looks like I've been doing a lot wrong...is the box ok at least
-
What about using a mtx crossover before the amp. Or is that just something I don't need
-
I new to this stuff but how would more power help..not sure at this point
-

I do agree with you on that. I starting to think I have just been boosting the output with it up like that.Maybe "clipless" when settings are flat

The hu is a kenwood excelon and is supposed to be clip less.

Thanks.. I'll try to find someone with a little knowledge to check it out.

I knew It I'm stupid
So here's a dumb question what should I do.

So here's my problem I have a 2001 Ford Explorer. I have done a big three using zero gauge wire. I have a 270 alt with stock battery upfront and to stinger spv70 in the back. The subs are wired down to 1 ohm on a saz 3500. I'm smelling coil burn which tells me I'm sending too much power. my gain is a quarter of the way up subsonic is at 11 o'clock on the dial. Everything else is turned all the way down. Everything on the head unit is set to flat except for the sub woofer output which is on 15. Not sure if this should be set to flat as well and then start to readjust.any help is appreciated.thing sounds amazing just stinks to high hell when it gets loud
Two x15's.. Am I expecting too much ?
