There's no way I'm dumping that kind of money into the alternator. I'm not running anything that would ever require that kind of power. $750+ either route. Would something like this not work (see below)? Aside from modding a bracket or something potentially. The harness on the alternator isn't extremely important on a car like mine would it be? That's just the regulator wiring correct?

I just sent an email to US Alternators, will keep posted. I'd never heard of them, I'm familiar with Iraggi, Mechman, DCPower, and Powerbastards, as well as a few others.

Yeah, I understand that, and I appreciate the input so far. The DC Power alternator available is far too much power for what I'm needing and the price is, too.
I've had my eye on this one for a while, looks like the only thing I'll probably end up having to do is modify mounting brackets. Opinion? http://powerbastards.com/proddetail.asp?prod=Fitzall%2D220

I've been looking everywhere for a high-output alternator for my 2004 Elantra, the only problem is that I'm unable to find anything really, and the ones I have found are either very low amperage compared to other alts available for other cars, or they're universal and I don't know if they'll fit. Anyone have experience with this car and upgrading the alt? I've been searching for years. Thanks ahead of time.
Here's one I've found, http://www.qualitypowerauto.com/item_410/Hyundai-Elantra.htm, just wanting to see if something around 220+ is possible.
And not the $750 one available through DC Power.

And I realize I may sound incredibly ignorant, but it's just because this is the first time I've attempted upgrading the power in my car and I always end up with a car that doesn't have any extra accessories made for it.
