  1. I am selling my MLA module that came off my 4.7L 02 Dodge Ram. Only reason I am selling is my voltage might be TOO high for my amp. It charges at 19.1-19.3 and I really dont want to risk burning up the amp.

Let me know if you are interested...I am pm'ing Chris@MLA now to see what else this module might fit.

Btw...on 12v with this module my truck sat right around 14.7-14.9.

I paid almost $200 for this module and I'll sell it for $125 shipped.

  2. Ok... inside word is this (although it's all unofficial of course, if your shit blows up)

They have bench tested up to 20v (:o) at which point they make a rediculous amount of power, but to run this you have to modify the overvoltage protection, and its for burps only.

They will be OK to 18v but anything over that without modification and the protection will give you trouble.

    Hope this helps :)

I can possibly get the bench-test results for all the voltages too, will see.

Could you find out what is necessary to remove the overvoltage protection?

  3. My friend had to modify the protection in his to get it to run consistently at 16v. (I think because of fluctuations 18v+)

I'm from New Zealand (home of Fusion) so I could probably talk to some of their tech staff including the guy who designs most of their amps (except the 4000D which is a clone :()

EDIT: Spoke to Fusion, 16v (well, up to 18v) on the power AND remote is fine :)

Could you ask em if this amp will handle high 18's for voltage? :)

  4. huh... i wonder if thats the issue with my sundown. Its not going into protect thou. Did the voltage drop quite a bit on the remote prior to going 16v?

We are talking 16v systems with 16v remote wires. Not 12v systems with 16v remote wires. Not sure what setup you are running, just wanted to clarify..

  5. And as for the remote wire....I ran my v4000xd's off of a 16v remote wire. Not sure why this would be any different, but wanted to see if anyone had experience with this amp.

My Visoniks never got warm at 16v's..and I beat the crap out of them for hours on end at times.

  6. I cant find an answer to my question through searching, so Ill just go ahead and ask it.

Will I have any problems running this amp off of a 16v system that charges at 19.1-19.2? I know it can handle 16+ volts, but I also know some amps dont like to see that high of a voltage while charging. What about the remote wire...safe off the same voltage? Ive read of some problems with remote wire voltage being too high and not letting the amp stay on.

    Thanks guys.
