Well im just wondering if i can just do the little things for now if i will see an improvement or not? cuz im not looking to crank the hell out of the amp i just want to listen to it without it cutting out.

Well I have a Fi 18'' BTL and a Kicker Zx 2500.1 and im pretty sure im not powering it enough cuz when i turn it up to much it basicly just cuts off until i turn it down. So im kinda in the shit house with ever getting enough money for a new alt so im wanting to know what little things i could do to help my amp not cut out like that btw the amp is only turned up half way so its now like i got this sucker cranked up all the way... So atm i only have a run of 4 gauge wire and my big 3 done in 4 gauge Im going to be buying some 1/0 guage today to upgrade that all and then might try and get a yellow top for under the hood. Would doing any of this help me out much? or would i just be better off getting a new alt? also my alt atm is only 80 amps. So if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Hey im not saying i want one i love my BTL just the Dc Lvl 5s are so sexy lookin . And u know damn well that my BTl wont come out enless i break that box!

Not sure if this has been asked and answered yet but what is the mounting depth on the 18'' Lvl 5?? Is it more then an 18''Btl?

I was wondering if you guys now anywhere besides irragi for alts? cuz they only offer a 180 amp alt for 400 dollors. I would really like to see if i can find someone who makes a higher amp alt for my car its a 2000 mazda protege es. Thanks!

ok ya as soon as i get my next paycheck i was already planning on getting some 1/0 gauge and i got my big 3 done in 4 gauge atm but of course ill redo it in 1/0 gauge.

Well its a 2 ohm amp so i hope im not that dumb and not have it wired up to 2 ohms lol

Ok so i just got my kicker ZX 2500.1 today to hook up to my 18'' Fi Btl. All is good except i know i need to make some hella electrical upgrades for this thing cuz im running off a stock alt and 4 gauge wire but my question is is there a way to under power the amp because if i turn the volume up as high as i usually listen to it it just cuts out the sub then comes back on. So im just wondering if im just under powering it or if i just dont have somthing going right for some reason. Thanks alot!

I would do that but If im listening to just the radio or music low like going to work at 3am I usually have it on a lower volume and dont like all the bass being in there.....So with the knob i Just turn it down and hear the speakers. But later in the day I can turn it back up and Bump away
