  1. I still haven't unpacked from the show. My computer is still in the car. I am hoping to get everything unoaded tonight so I can upload the results. I posted results from the printed winners list .

Harley qualified with a 130 . I think his intention was to qualify with a 129.9. In quarter finals he lost with a 132.9.

Good showing in the 139 class first between Nick Probst and Roadquake Kory (quarterfinals) then Adam Trifonoff and Roadquake Kory (semi finals). I lost count, but I hink there were 5 ties between Kory and Adam. All the ties were with perfect scores.

  3. REGION 6 has rocking time at the FLORIDA STATE FINALS

One of the most impressive shows of the year for the SPLMAX CUP tour. 37 Bass racers battled it out on Aug 3 in Orlando Florida.

Robin Butler was the big money winner in the 149 class with impressive scores of 149.9's and 149.8's

    100_0931_bc400.Large.jpg

Ricky Akkasian had another SPLMAX CUP win in the 139.9 class. Frankie Rio belted out a 158.0 in his lexus trunk car to win the 159.9 class.

"This was a great competition." said David Mclean, region 6 judge. "The SPLMAX CUP has become one of the favorite no bullshit formats here in Florida. I am getting a lot of first year competitors returning to the shows. My numbers are way up from last year. The $100 SPLMAX CUP prize money offered at each event has sparked a lot of interest in the industry. "

    Individual Competition

It was a 4 man race going into event number 8 for region 5. Adam Trifonoff (7) 111, Nick Probst (7) 108, Steve Mick (7) 105, Ed Gardner (7) 104, Team Roadquake - Kory (7)104. Competitors and fans were speculating on how the competition would go. Would Adam win his 8th straight SPLMAX CUP event? Would Kory compete in the 149 class?

The competition turned topsey turvey when Adam was upset in the first round by Cory Hoskins AND Steve, Ed, Nick and Kory all competed in the 139 class. Winner of the 139 class would win the $100 dollars and clearly move up the ranks. Steve edged Kory to take his third big SPLMAX paycheck.

After all the points were added up, Adam remains number 1 and Steve moved back into the number 2 spot. Only 3 points separate the top 4 competitors in region 5.
