  1. Pick up an LS1 out of a wrecked F-body. it will run you about 3000-3500 for the entire drop-out. and you have the potential for major upgrades in the future

EDIT: Not to mention you gas mileage will improve

This would be by far the coolest option yet. Even any ls series engine swap. The aftermarket is good, the engine is sweet, and you don't see tons of ls series swaps in jeeps.

  2. im sure youve done some research but have you thought about going turbo instead? if you can deal with a tiny bit of lag, turbo would be a much cheaper option (usually is, you never know in some cases i guess).

The problem with turbocharging a project like this is the rarity of parts off the shelf. It would take a lot of custom fabrication. The small block route has been proven time and time again. It is a popular swap with aftermarket support.

  3. Bit bored this week waiting for ma new gear to arrive. So thought i'd ask for opinions on where to head with the engine in my Jeep.

Looking at either a small block chev drop in, or stroking and boring the original 4.0 out to 4.7 and putting a 8.5 PSI supercharger on July next year.

    Wat's your vote??

In my opinion I would say go with a small block. Far more reliable with more potential for future upgrades.

  5. those subs arent meant for super big enclosures iirc. I think 2.5 cf would be fine for those subs. If you really wanted to run 2 higher powered 18's 10 cf would be a better choice.

I think you are correct about the enclosure size now that you mention it. I was thinking with 4-15's I would be louder than 2-18's with the same power. If I did buy a pair of 18's they would most likely be loaded Fi Bl's. What would be the better choice. I like the way the 16Ov.2 sounds. Is the 18" Bl a better choice?

  6. Well I have been trying to decide on subs for a while now. Really want to do 4-15's. The boys at Elemental Designs came up with this for me. What do you think?

4-15 inch 16 Ov.2 in 10 cube ported at 32hz. That is taking up pretty much the whole hatch area.
