  1. He talked to Kenwood...well that made me change my mind..lmao...i wonder if his fuse is right ..under the hood...well ok its his gear..also my last post was aimed at your friend, since you said you were going to print it out....Tell him since he thinks its such a great amp he wouldnt have a problem selling it and getting a better one that wont burn the car down...

lol yeah i hear you man. Ive tryed telling him that for a quick play that is fine but for daily driving its gone overheat and burn up...he just shook his head like i didnt know what i was talking about...this feed had been great and im prob gone be printing soon...

  2. A 4 ohm speaker will typically read 3.2 ohms if you measure it with a DMM after subtracting residual resistance...

well i didnt know that. learned something new. But the has it wired wierd not in par. He has two subs each in sep boxes and has the wires coming from the subs join toether outside the box before you hookes them to the amp so he only has one wire to the amp...and he bridges that wire...so what ohm would that be?

  3. your friend is an idiot.

tell him to stfu and listed to someone who knows wtf theyre talkin about

i talked to him today and he said that he has been talking to kenwood themselves so he knows they know what they are talking about and that they have never hurd of an amp overheating...so he can just run it all he wants and it wont overhead bc it had a fan in the amp....and if it did overheat then they will refund him...well i told him thats a bunch of bull bc they wond refund u under consumer abuse which is what he is doing...i know he hasnt talked to them, he just lieing

  4. fish for a man he eats for a day, teach him to fish he eats for a life time..case in point? give him this link and tell him to join and do some research

    http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/

he wont join bc he alread knows what he is doing, im just trying to get enough feed back and im printing it out and giving it to him and leaving it alot...if he blows them he blows them ive done tried to help he just wont listen to me

ps. put it this way he had 8guage wire runing to him bat to power this stuff and burned the wire twice bf chaning it to 4guage. not the best just some knock off brand but atleast he did that.....lol

  5. I have a friend that im trying to help out bf he burns up all of his speaker and amp. The problem is that he has kenwood subs : 4ohm svc at 400RMS a sub. The amp is a kenwood 2-Channel Class AB Car Amplifier

    RMS Power Rating:

    4 ohms: 170 watts x 2 chan.

    2 ohms: 250 watts x 2 chan.

    Bridged, 4 ohms: 500 watts x 1 chan

he said that he has the subs at a 3.2ohm load and the amp at a 4ohm load. The amp keeps overheating and shutting off while being bridged at the same time. I cant talk any since into him bc he just wont listen. He also thinks that his amp is a mono amp and that his subs are 1000RMS a sub. Ive tryed talking to him but i figure if you guys wrote enough about this topic he might understand what the crap is going on bf u burns everything up like a dumb ass.... I shouldnt even wast my time typing this but what yall say im just gone print it out and give it to him and call it at day....

  6. i had a feed on here about running two amps to a FiBTL12'' sub and after talking about it i thought i would be best for me to wait until i had more knowledge with wiring techs.... so i am wanting to get a quick opinion bf i ordor one of these Fi subs tonight....should i go with a FiQ12'' or a FiSSD15'' .... i would like to know which would be louder under these specs (I want bass)

    2.5cuft ported to 32hz

run at 1ohm with 1000RMS to the sub

    in a single cab truck

    stock electrical
