All it takes is one car to cut the corner and your both dead or at least bed bound for life. I got an uncle that's stuck ina bed for the rest of life cuz some young punk ona rocket doing 110 ona rocket hit em while he was ona peddle bike. So you could be the best rider in the world but all it takes is sum one in car to hit you. Getting ona bike is risky enough as iit is. But doing 160 ona back road is like signing a death wish. I hate to say it but somthing is bound to happen when riding like that on public streets.

what mods do you have to get 160 out of a 600?
nothing, 600 does 167 stock. i got stock gearing as well. if you change ur gearing to one down up front and two up on rear it changes ur top speed to a little lower.
thats what the spedo says, its off a little bit from factory, would love to get a spedo healer and it will be almost dead on with speed. so its not going exact 167 but close. mine fluctuates 3-4mph from a 2009 gsxr 1000 with a speedo healer. he does 90 mine reads 93 or 94

Not on public roads and then on back country roads non the less. I'm all for bikes I own 2 myself. But 160 on a puplic street and passing cars and shit like that is what bugs me. Its kinda like the ppl that bump at stop lights giving us bass heads bad names, well flying by ppl being a dumbass on a bike is why ppl don't like bikes.
i understand the putting others in danger. I try to keep the speed to myself on empty roads so if i crash its just me. whats the difference when a cop is flying trew city traffic or res areas doing 100mph? bc hes a cop? only live once

lol each is own i guess. i raced motocross for 12 years, raced pro last 3 years. raced supermoto for a year, dirt track, did some drag racing for a while, all on race tracks. guess it gets old after a while. sometimes a racetrack isnt available, so i make a country curvy road my own track. hate it or like it, im still gone do what i like.

2006 Hayabusa LE. and times ten for all above. show the responsibility and take the safety course. and I dont think you need 1300cc's, but I do think you will be unhappy with anything smaller than a 600. I always hear people wanting to start small, only to watch them drop some more cash a couple months later for something bigger.
better to drop more cash on something fast after you have learned than to drop cash on a funeral man. lol, seems im like the safety nutt here but thats the truth. if there are any true crotch rocket riders on here that has ur crew and when it comes to next riding season and only half of the guys show back up, you tend to give pep as much advice as you can.

I raced motocross for 12 years, did supermoto for about 2 years, dirt track a few races, and drag raced for a while. I'm gone just be straight forward with you man, and this is just me being nice. If you get any bike like a gsxr 600,1000 or cbr 600, 1000 and so on (crotch rocket) I would tell you no. you will most likely get killed on it in a few months not bc you cant ride, anyone can ride eventually but having skills and experiance is another story. I've had a few close calls myself and if i didnt have the background i have i would be dead and thats no joke, ive seen some of my buddies go threw some similar situations and not come out so lucky. nothing that you would think is to hard like stopping fast in a split second. well allot of times you dont stop like you think, and if you dont know how to stop properly it can get bad. bikes go fast, I know thats why you want one i mean we all know that, same goes with me. you will eventually get to the point of wanting to top it out, cutting threw traffic, speeding on busy roads, and trust me you will, most deff if you have a crotch rocket.
if you want a bike, get something thats moderat and not meant as a race bike but a town bike. even those can be dangerous. the main this is use your head, dont ride over your limit, and always pay attention. allot of times its not you as the rider that gets you hurt but the dumb fucks in the cars. I had a girl almost pull out infront of me right when i was looking back to see if a cop was behind me, i look ahead and she is slamming on breaks about to be in my lane. it can happen just that fast, i think i was doing about 60 at the time, prob would of hurt me pretty damn bad. so those situations are out that no matter what.
but enough with the lecture for you, if you want a bike you need to show them you can ride a bike. if you have never road a bike before then start off slow like i said. if you want to get a race bike you need a good couple of years under your belt. allot of good pep get killed just bc they wasnt experiance enough. and yeah your 17, wait till your 18 and see what happens. if your in the house well you are out of luck, but maybe you can say ur paying for everything so its all covered.

yes i was riding my gsxr 600 along with my buddies at like 2am other night. a car had ran off the interstat into the patch of tree's it looked like it wrapped one tree and bounced off and went into another tree. the car was lmost in three different pieces was one of the worst ive ever seen in my life hands down. whoever it was didnt survive that one bc the drivre side was no longer even there. and when i passed it i had my helmet cam turned off, sorry guys

coming from someone who has had over 10 years of riding under my belt and was racing pro motocross for a year all i can tell you is dont get a cbr600-gsxr1000 none of the race bikes. you will most likly hurt yourself in all truth. im not being negative, but the fact is if you have no riding experiance all you will know to do is go fast and thats it. you wont know what to do in high speed situations, blow outs, crashes, stopping fast enough without endoing with front brake. get you a nice bike that you can learn on for atleast a year or so then i would say you can get a race bike if thats what you want.
there is allot of stuff to know and learn and it takes a little while .even with me doing all the shit i do my parents still wont let me have one until im out of the house. so dont feel bad on that part lol. ive dont supermoto, motocross, dirt trackin, shifter carts, drag racing, allof of stupid shit. just learn and have fun, and always remember that if you feel you are riding over your limit of comfort back it down bc you will get hurt if not then the next time. trust me, i know lmao

going to be some USACI comps coming up here soon the one im worried about is march 27th because im trying to get all my stuff audio in order on time so i can compete. there are allot more, but just wanted to see who all was going to be hitting some up this year. post your number and results on this page as well instead of making another thread and we can keep all the USACI comp results together. good luck to everyone who is going to be entering and hope to see some good numbers this year from myself and others.

its innovative and id really like to see it. i think it would have good results too. considering where the subs or ports can be placed. play your cards right and itll almost be like a port score haha
yeah i plan on finding out just how close the subs can be to the port and still be legal. lmao should get a good score that will be hard for anyone to beat in my class. would this be considered modified? or no? box will not be higher then the window lining but will be pretty far up like even with the front of seat or to where the consol comes in the pic. was looking into it more last night, I might, key word might get 3 15'' in there, if not 2 is a deff on this

ok so ive been doing some thinking for the upcoming compitition this year and feel that instead of using 2 10'' im going to try and use 3 15'' subwoofers make by ken. now my plan is to take the passenger seat out and have the box come up about 25'' or more and have it that much in depth until it gets to my seat then drop down to like 9'' TD and BD. have the port or ports behind my seat and the subs facing the dash. or should i have the sub facing up? this is when i start to have a problem. im not sure how i should face the subs or how to get the BEST spl score along with decent demo sound. this set up will be in my truck for about 2 weeks only, then will strip it out and put the 2 10'' in there. lmao i know , dont say anything

the box will be designed the same behind my seat, but as soon as the box passes my seat its shooting forward not back this time
you can see with this photo just how much i can extend the box, so im thinking more than 25'' i have to go take some measurments tom morning
the box is going to pretty much take up the passenger seat side, strickly for comp only
