Listen certain parts of an alarm may be warranteed but my point is if you bring a alarm bought elsewhere into a shop they prob. wont back their INSTALL or ALARM PARTS.If they are your people then they might get ur back but in general shops are only trying to back alarms that they sell you from my experiences.At least thats the attitude here in NY with the jokers I've dealt with.

If you bring a d.e.i alarm to a shop that did not sell you the alarm and they install it and later something goes wrong they DO NOT give you a lifetime warranty.Sorry alarms do not have lifetime warranties.Especially if the alarm WAS NOT BOUGHT AT THE SHOP WHO INSTALLS IT.As would have been the case with the original poster who I believe was buying the alarm offline.

Looks good but I doubt the install would be cheaper on that vs. the viper.An alarm is as good as the install.Their price seems a little shady if this unit sells for 800 they are markin the bish down a lot.I would buy an alarm local at a good shop that offers install free.(probly still have to buy a module)that way if shit goes wrong they gotta correct that.Where as if you buy your alarm off slippery Joe on ebay then bring it to the shop if shit goes wrong they say well you didnt get the alarm from us so your shittouttaluk.Hope I helped. I am out.

Well its somewhat an eye for an eye because he asked me to help him install his system a while ago and everything was flawless and I did a god damn good job too, until it came to the indash installation. Some fucking Jensen flip out, so I told him I really don't have any experience and I rather not, but he said just try anyways. So I tried and needless to say everything just went to shit and his entire radio stopped working and then the next day his entire car did not start. So he was like yeah we are even but still, I think his alarm is what drained his car, not the TV.
I shake my head in disgust.

Most high end furniture joints will have some aerosol upholstery cleaner. Walk in that bitch like you just dropped 10k on a livingroom set,speak with the manager ask for the service tech,tell him you have a chair that is stained as fuck in your whip. Go out spray that stain and return the can. By the time you get home the cleaner will have blasted that stain and shoud come right out.From experience this shit will knock out stains from the deepest depths of hell. I am out.

I gathered that you are talking bout the 791 xv in terms of your quote. I had mine(same alarm) installed for 100 two years ago.300 to me seems very steep.I would go elsewhere for the install.
