  2. ^That is one I have yet to see! Check out the specs on it, it's got a frequency range of 11 to 60hz.

Who knows what the future will bring. ;)

They died out just as fast as they came in. I heard one sealed it was the most accurate bass I have ever heard. They cost almost 1k each and this was back in 96 or so :)

I would love to see these brought back, But they did have alot of issues and you had to clean them to keep them from getting noisy.

Cool thing about them is that you dont need a ton of power to get them loud

  3. When I play CDs they don't seem as loud as my iPod. Does an iPod put out a better signal or something?

Do you have your Ipods EQ on or off? If its on its going to bring out the sound more depending on what preset you have it on. I dont think the Ipod its self is louder then a CD but some discs are recorded/burnt differently then others.

When I have my Ipod hooked up to the USB port on my deck (running the Ipods EQ off) It sounds a tad muffled to me.

  4. I say ban for wasting peoples time with bs!

    That's not right

Atleast let him defend himself first lets see what he has to say(in no way defending his actions) Just curious, Getting Scammed blows ass I been taken once and never again.

Thats why I only deal with Paypal verified people. I do not accept money orders (I dont care if its usps or bank and of those can be fraudulent) or Western Union, And Definetly not personal checks.

Trades are hard as hell to do and track because in the long run its your word agenst his with out any viable proof that a transaction took place.

I hope you get your stuff back, I know what its like and I can relate.

  5. Ok folks I got to move this audio stuff so as a bonus to you I am helping with the shipping!

The PG amp is free shipping

The subs are half off shipping. So for the patriots instead of 40 shipping, 20 and the kicker 8's instead of 30 shipping I'll do 15 Shipping.

    I have more amps.

Blade G752 (poor cosmedic condition works perfect) Very Very rare amplifier I was planning on restoring it by stripping it down to the aluminum and then polishing it out and having custom clear sticker lable work done to keep the blade logo and the amps hook up and xover information. Never got around to doing it.

A/D/S/ PS5.2 works great has a 1 bent heatsink fin and a twinked RCA plug (cosmedic) was dropped by my lil brothers kid But works and sounds great. This is my amp here pictured at Ampguts before damage :(http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/ads_PS5.2/

Orion with Stardust logo Very old School 280gx 180w amp, This amp has never been tested I do not have the Speaker/remote Plug for it its in pretty decent shape selling as parts only. This amplifier was extremely underrated I had a working one at one point and it pushed a pair of 10" just fine.

I'll have photos later waiting for my cam battery to charge.

Feel free to email me with any Questions!

  6. would that matter b/c i can undo all the amps but one and no other rca's and it still does the same ....

    but no dont?

and my friend has the same amp except with a 2- 12" setup not big atall and his does the same????

Sure it would help :) Sorry just asking questions to try and help you better. It really sounds like a Voltage issue or something of that nature.

Not sure why your buddy's amp would be doing the same thing. I would contact JBL and see what they say before doing anything else.

Maybe try setting the gains a tad lower then what you have them set at now?

  7. Are you running them under their recommended impeadance?

    Sounds like a voltage problem.

I ran my GTO601.1 at 1ohm (recommended 2ohm) at 14.4v never once had an issue with it or it getting hot. I know its not the same amp but JBL makes a pretty bullet proof amplifier for its price range.

How many subs are you running off one of those?

  8. Jeremy W. I been in car audio since 92 I got my first gig working in car audio in 1993 started out as a high school career month for extra credit. I got a job soon after with the same shop during the summer and stayed on for another 4 years. I did car audio out of my garage after my tour in a real shop as a hobby.

The Shop I used to get my gear from and the guy who owned it taught me a lot of things that I will never forget. After being in business for 30+ years doing CB Radios and Car Audio a little later, he is finally closing his doors on the first of September of this year. Anyone from the Oregon Coast who was a customer Winklers knows that Steve was the man and was always willing to work with his customers to make them happy!

I found out about Steve Meade while searching around on ROE after discovering Ampguts in 2006. I didnt sign up till recently. So far I have to say this is a pretty knowlageable group of guy's doing what they love and willing to give out tips and tricks with out being cocky about it!

    Great Site, Good people!

    Take it easy!

  9. i wish i had the demo itself on tape......when i took that vid it was just the beginning of me filming my demo's so it wasnt like it is now "film everything" :D

thats how i got the eyeball poppin out vid, i started filming EVERYTHING. Some vids suck, some are good but if you dont film you might miss a great clip :D

The Eye ball popping out is my favorite!

lol the reaction on that kids face was priceless!

  10. i saw in a thread on another forum that if you have a subwoofers in a convertible you will lose 85% of your sound with the top down..how true is that? and will it help if the subs is facing towards the cabin

My wife had a 99 323ic BMW Vert. We put in 3 Solo Baric L5 8" running them was an Autotek SX900x. It was pretty loud with the top down didnt really notice much of a difference with the top up it might have been a tad louder hard to say.

I pulled out the factory 8" sub it was behind the middle section of the back seat, there is a pull down so it looked like a huge square port with the arm rest down. I had the subs facing the cab and a false wall covering up the box with the amp mounted on the back of the false wall.

With the top down I could hear her driving up the drive way better then the top being up. :)

  11. Dude, here is the amp, I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but you must have been wrong..... http://www.usamps.com/md_amps.html

Alot of mono Amps have extra set of outputs so that you are not trying to cram in huge amounts of speaker wire into a single + and - terminal. This just allows you to thin out your connections.

Its still only one channel just has an extra set of + and - Terminals. My x800 has the same thing.
