  1. I built a few myself, we used them at the speaker shop. I want to build an electric one to keep the rpm at a perfect rate, maybe just use a old drill motor, and pully/belt system to lower the rpms down to a managable speed, and then maybe a foot pedal for over all speed control.... Hell I have an extra 18v craftsman drill, and battery, maybe I will make a 18volt "Field recone table"

This is also some good shit to use, the gun, and some DP 420 epoxy, fast drying epoxy

just what I learned to use thru the years

word. that is the only thing i will use:) it only costs like $25.. makes life MUCH easier. i also like loctite 410 and 411c:)
  2. New plan.. I sold the rf's and the tc's, as i have said.. This whole build is going to be custom. So, to that end, i went to my friends at zenon (makers of fine amps for several big companies!) and had 4 of these made-

    Power specs are- 2200x1 @ 1 ohm, strapped 5kw @ 2 ohm.

alright.. that handles the substage:) so now i need woofers.. so, i go to my little "stockroom" as i like to call it.. here are some of my choices-

    I picked out the 3 hp's. i am thinking of doing either 4 or 8 18" 3hp's. (i am thinking 4, as i dont want a wall!)

    Thoughts so far?

  3. To the equipment-

start with the headunit.. Its a Pioneer AVIC-z1. built in navi, performance meter crap (dont really care) etc.. i absolutly LOVE this unit!

    worklog007.jpg

Now.. those of you that know of the AVIC-D1's know that it does NOT come with a dvd player built in (silly, i know:() so.. for that i was going to get a stand alone dvd player untill i got this-

(its a ps3 60 gb). that freed up this to put into the lincoln-

This will go where my factory 6 cd changer is (lower pass. side center console, behind a nice fliip down door.. will be totally stealth:))

  4. Alright. Here goes i guess.. I have people ask me all the time.. visitor, what do you run for equipment? I'm afraid that the answer may be a bit of a letdown for most of you.. yes, i have all the motors/parts/subs (i can make any sub i want, from a neo, all the way up to an hpz) but.. i don't like to "mess with perfection" so to say.. the equipment i run is fairly standard, with a twist:)

Anyways, lets get on to it.. First of all.. i ripped my ENTIRE install out (it is back to 100% stock) the old install was LOUD but didn't sound worth a fu.ck. so.. i decided to start 100% over. i got rid of all my old wire, components, and stuff. starting fresh. so, here is what is left/ is the basis for my current install:)

First- lets start with some pics of the truck, shall we? Its a 2003 Lincoln navigator ultimate, with 14,8xx miles. i got it new. It has every option factory.. navigation, flip down dvd, power running boards, factory 18" wheels, heated/air conditioned seats, power rear liftgate, power fold flat 3rd row seats, captains chairs in the 2nd row, tri-zone climate control, factory airbag suspension all around, etc.(you get the picture) Right now it is on 24x10 rims (forget the make/model, ill update it later) with 305/35/r24 cooper zeon xst tires. Enough babbling... on to the show:)

    clean pics-

  5. Well, after years and year we have accumulated quite large collected of used speaker parts and assemblies. I couldn't find a more appropriate place to get rid of it if i tried, because this is truly straight from our own junkyard and we want it gone so we're willing to part with most of it for below cost.

    Make/Model:

Used TC Sounds assembled and magnetized motors.

    Specs:

I'm gonna omit this part, if you have any questions about the size of each motor you can email me, but i think everyone here knows our parts pretty well.

    Condition/Description/Other Information:

Used, various scratched on surface. No boots.

Requires basket + softparts to complete the driver.

    Price (with paypal fees included):

    Ceramic 2" Voice coil

    ------------------

    TC2 $13

    TC2+ $16

    Ceramic 3" Voice coil

    ------------------

    TC7 $18

    TC-9 w/ 3/4" mags $21

    TC-9 w/ 1" mags $25

    Under hung TC9 $35

Under hung TC9 w/ Copper in gap $40

    3HP/Ti $45

    TC-3000 $54

    LMT $60

    Neo 3" Voice coil

    -----------------

    3HP Neo $200

Many of these prices are below our material cost but we cant sell used stuff, so hence.. the junkyard!

paypay fees included. Shipping NOT INCLUDED! Shipping material cost NOT included. The shipping material cost may be between 10-30 dollars depending on how many you buy. I prefer local pickup, it is by far the cheapest.

$45 dollar minimum purchase + packing + shipping unless you do a local pick up. Meaning you need to buy multiples of the smaller motors if you want them shipped out. If you're interested in more than a few, then all prices are negotiable. These are used motors. We will NOT recone any of them before we ship them or sell them.

    forsalepics003.jpg

    forsalepics002.jpg

    amps next-

these are some sample amps i received from zenon. 2200x1 @ 1 ohm per amp, strappable, 5k strapped @ 2 ohm rated power. very nice amps! they are unbranded. each has a remote gain. need 450 + shipping each. will work a deal if you buy more than 1.

    forsalepics006.jpg

    Misc. stuff.

have some copper buss bars- they are 2" x 12" undrilled. need $8 each + shipping. 4 available

    forsalepics007.jpg

    forsalepics007.jpg

    (underneath the bars)

Also have 1 tc3k motor available. good shape. no top assembly. tc, fi, re can all recone these (and atomic, and tim roy, and i am sure many others) need $125 shipped for it.

    forsalepics004.jpg

    forsalepics005.jpg

    forsalepics001.jpg

all prices are OBO, but do not low ball me. shipped prices do NOT apply to those in canada.

    thanks for looking!

  7. Thats a new price then, the old tc website posted the LMS for almost $1k, $3k, if if I had the money, I wouldnt spend my money on that then, but $1k, thats different.... And Iam sure that was the price, because TC sounds gave me a quote in a email for a customer, and said $9## something each 18, and the passive 18s

it is the price on the lms ultra:) from last week, my conversation with them:) sorry if you dont believe it!~ please call them and ask!

  8. bit of a description of some of the changes..

    "--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Things to note: Obviously our products took on a new name and color. What else lies beneath the hood?

lifetime warranty, get it? Got it? holy **** did he say lifetime? Yes he did. Audiopulse is all about the customer. That our commitment.

The 12" axis retains the TC-3000 motor, but the 15 and 18" get a new motor (not shown in the photo) they both own a triple 100 oz 8.7" wide mags. Its a step up from the 3k for sure.

The planar is something pretty foreign to car audio, however they are fantastic and i just cant wait for people to hear em.

The RMB is ruthless. Leave it Thilo to take a comp door driver and over motor it to death. This thing adds great punch to the front stage, and with the planar, you really get much more midrange and midbass upfront where it belongs.

The REVO is upgraded 2000. With a flatwound beefier coil, it can take more power than before. We also added a heatsink on the former to conduct more heat away from the coil. Top that with new stiffer spiders and and leadwires and its really a 2000 beefed up beyond any thing we thought was remotely close. Trust me, we took a good look around.

the LMS-Ultra and Axis also got a vc revision from their predecessors so that they can take more power than before. Again the heatsink treatment was done.

The VMP is back, we're really pushing this for car audio. We may or may not do loaded systems later on, but the VMP adds a lot of versatility in a reference subwoofer system. You can make it behave just like a sealed system too, I will be happy to explain that if you like. Ported + Sealed + variable tuning with no port noise is a lot of features to digest.

Color: The website does not do the baskets justice. The blue is quite remarkable and we're making a major effort to powder coat everything here locally in San Deigo with a 3 layer process that matches sports cars! Its sexy if i may say so. Not like it matters, but why the heck not?

Prices: All we have is MSRP, not 100% final yet. TC Sounds is here to design some serious hardware. We're not about savings or cutting corners anymore (not that we really ever were). There are a lot of audio product out there, especially comps with very high prices. We're joining that market with our cheesy audiopulse name too, but with one major objective: To raise the bar. By Jan. we'll have even more stuff to show off, for now, we have full plate. I hope if any of this is interesting, you make a point to come to CES because it will be a blast!"

  9. well they will be sold dealer-only from what I heard...basically there the same line up as before just a different colored basket, but yes I love that tall narrow surround, I have it on my TC-3000, very nice excursion :D

wrong. much more changed. including going back to aluminum cones. most changes are internal, so not cosmetically noticable..

  10. I know they cost bank, like $900 for an 18", because that is what TC sells them as

I already have my dream system in my head tho (with this brand)

2- LMS 18s in a horn loaded wall, 4 of the 8"s mids up front, 4- 6"s 2 up front, 2 in the back, and 4 of the planar highs if they can handle bass waves hitting them (planar designs is more sensitive)

    But $5,000 later, damn

more than that. the retail on the 18" lms ultra is $2999 each:)
