ya turn the gains down .. im just syain in my opion id take the us amps over a sony amp all day ..have a stereo shop help wit the gain . plus if u ever get type r that amp will do ok

it does make 1000 at 1ohm but its alway better to have room to upgrade later down the road

u can do 4awg and keep ur factory wires too on that dont have to go zero

sometimes amps get hot when they dont have enuff power from ur alt or batt.. u may try to upgrade ur power too it will only help anyways

Ive owned L7s before.I blew mine too.Seems no matter how easy i went on them they always blew.At the most random times too.Like just driving down the road with the volume just barely up.Loud subs but a pain in the ass.

He is right shades, didnt sound right at first, What threw you off is the fact that he said 2 ohm woofers, and not 2 ohm dvc's.

Since they are all dvc 2 or 4 ohm subs for the 8s, 10s, 12s, 15s. And the 10s,12s, 15s are all rated for 250wrms/500peak.

Actually if they're 2 ohm woofers and you wire them in parallel you will get a .66 ohm load not 1.34, and if you were to wire them in series you would have 6 ohms not 3 ohms. I don't know where you came up with that or where Rockford would say something like that but it's completely wrong.

I'd check on the impedences of the woofers again because I don't think that Rockford even makes single voice coil subs that are 2 ohms. Check back and find out what you are actually getting.
