well i have heard both and i like the boomy sound of the ported boxes for the type of music i listen to. a ported box sounds alright with some rock
Im more of a rap bass guy... but i need to have a enclosure that alows my sub to hit hard and alows lots of bass to flow!!

lol that site WONT screw u over. i bought my 2 ALpine Type R's there. and they are perfectly fine. shipping took a while tho cuz the place is in california and i live in New York lol.

you have a 4 ohms sub thats 400 watts rms....not talking down on kenwood but they are not the best brand to go for subs but hey you gotta start some where....so the amp is 300 watts rms at 4 ohms so it will match the sub perfectly without overpowering it....so you should be set
edit....never bought anything from the site but im sure its legit....
shit it better be lagit for 180.bucks but ya ima have to try it out

lol the amp any good? will it power my alpine type r's?. They are 500watts RMS EACH. so i want a amp that will give them around that each sub. but for that cheap i figure ahhh what the hell.
lol ive never even used it but its just sitting around the house in my way....but ya i think its a good batch

I ust purchased a new Kfc-w3011 (Kenwood) 1200 watt peak power and 400 rms with 4 ohms.... should i run it with an amp at 400 rms like the sub? or would it be okay to go higher and how much higher??

lol ok i got 2 ppl saying remote wire.....thats good. ill wait and get couple more ppl to reply then ill go cutting wires lol. i cant cut wires for a while anyways. ( just bought a 2600 watt amp from a friend for cheap but i needed a amp. and my cars broken. the clutch went so its in the shop )
what kind of amp do you have??

I have a switch that is located under my steering wheel a bit to the left....and i used remote but thats just me put it wherever you feal comfortable!!
