hey, appreciate the feedback. I have NOT used a clamp meter, but will do very shortly as I need to buy one. I do not have any wire, but was thinking about running 2 runs of ground from the front batt, back to the rear as well, as maybe that will help things too. So I was going to purchase 35ft red, and 35ft black. I figure this upgraded wiring couldn't hurt anything, and possibly help.
If you run ground wire to the back, make sure you do it from the alt's casing bolts intead of from your front battery.

I'm running a 3500 at ½ohm with rise to 1.3 on 3 kinetick 2000's, a red top up front along with the stock bat and dual 270sp alt's from dc power and an MLA. I can stay in the 14's voltage wise while driving. At idle it wont go lower then 13's. I wanta stay in the high 14's at idle so im looking to upgrade tp 3 D3100's here shortly and do some ground wire work.

I try not to give those vibes anymore i just got tired of it i have had a younger brother & two uncles murdered because of the gang life......thanks for the props homeboyDamn man, you just reminded me of some of my best friends that I lost due to what I think is stupid gang shit. One got murdered across the street from my house. Will never forget his mom's cries. One of the other's been in jail since the viewing of that murder when he got taken by some disrespectful undercover cops. And and the other moved to Vegas to get away from that shit and all the drugs.

Depends on the size of the bar (thickness and width), they have amp ratings for them. For example the buss bars Max has in the back on the batteries, those are rated at 1,000 amp's

okay i know i'll probably get bashed for bumping a thread over a year old, but on my deck i only have 2v preouts so i've been looking at a line driver. What's a safe voltage to be looking at before you have to start worrying about it being to much for the RCA inputs on the amp?
Look at the manual for the amp. it should say something about maximum signal voltage input.

blowing shit up is of no concern. we can figure to back down on it if he must. But I think Max's (818-bass-hrtz-818) main concern is really what sub would do better on the lows or perform better overall at that power?

i vouch for the rex. it'll be cheaper to get loud. I kinda look up to your build's and am tired of hearing haters say yo cant pull numbers for the power you're running. So I got $20 on it. Not much but it's a start........

Sorry, power coming out form the batts to the amps. that's if ur running multiple amps.......

Ok I am currently getting a Sundown 1200d.
Right now my truck only has a 70 or a 90amp alternator on it which is probably going to be a joke with that amp being it is fused for 150amp.
So could I get away with a 120 or 140?
IMO u are fine with ur stock alt. Just have enough battery to back up that particular amp and charge them periodically. If you upgrade later down the road look not getting a better alt.
