Wired up a little light for the back
Soon more lights red up front under driver and passenger dash as well as one under the rear bench
at night

Not good however:
the q took off my rear view and a chunk of glass came down with it
and then the glass started to crack with more bass

Well this year i got a different car, a 2007 Pontiac Torrent (had a 2007 Silverado). Decided that i will run this car into the ground and so i thought id outdo the sound system i had in the silverado (2 kicker l5 12s off a hifonics brutus 1600 watt amp).
So heres the car (in college right now so pics sorta hard to do):
Now onto what ive put into it so far:
Fi q 15 loaded up
Rockford Fosgate Power Series 500.2 amp (puts out 1000 watts rms at 2 ohms bridged)
Alpine CDA 9883 Headunit (from truck)
Alpine Powerpack for the Headunit (also from truck amps all speakers to 45w x 4 rms)
KnuKoncepts 1/0 Gauge Wire for power from front battery to back battery
Tsunami 4 Gauge power wire from battery to subwoofer amp (not a very long run no real power loss imo)
Rockford Fosgate 12 Gauge speaker wire for sub
Slot Ported Box (built by me) tuned to 35 hz
Pioneer 6x8s all the way around for speakers
Now back to pics:
Touch sensitive finger switch to turn the amp on and off
Sub on

no its a GM and i jus need the remote im not going to put a new deck in it jus helping a friend and we are at a lost as to how we are going to get the remote to run other than a switched typ deal
on every gm car ive worked on there is always 1 slot in the fusebox that is affected by the ignition. trail and error always works but i know in my dads caddy it was ign 3 fuse and in my moms suzuki l7 it was the rear seat entertainment fuse

I have been into car audio since I got my first car, and got into building boxes pretty heavily in high school. Hell, me and my buddy had a little business going for a while over the internet. Unfortunately, we were young and didn't keep it going long due to laziness.
Now I'm in college and looking for some work to do on the side. Not trying to get rich here, any of you that are in or have been in college know where I'm coming from. I have the tools and skills to design and build boxes for most if not all applications. This leads me to the reason I'm posting this thread.
I would like to offer to all members of SMD a chance to get a chance to have a box built AT MY COST. I'm doing this not only to build a reputation but to make a contribution to this website. I would have to say that without watching Steve's videos on Realm of Excursion, before this site even existed, I would not be into this hobby.
So to the first person that posts with a reasonable idea for a box will get a box built for MY COST plus shipping. Receipts will be provided. If shipping turns out to be too much or the cost is too high, I'll put the offer back on the table.
a box for the rear of a 2007 chevy silverado ext cab nbs 6.0 cubic feet tuned to 33hz for a 18in audioque driver hdc318d1

can you do that also on the 9886?
most of the 9xxx series units i believe do. my cda 9883 has the power ic option.
-
lookin for a good deal on an 18in fi btl or bl. or a dc audio 15. trying to keep it under 350
-
Nice work.
Any subs? and hows it sound?
-
nice job so far. keep up the good work

thanks guys. and i actually have to strip it all out within the next two weeks because im going off to college and leaving my truck at home so there is no point for me to make an amp rack but yeah it would look really nice and to tehbert0. yeah i build boxes so i took the prefab box and modded it a lil bit to get much better sound out of it because just prefab box is tuned to high. silicone up all the corners and then add an extension to the port to make it longer on the inside and your able to get much deeper sound.
