  1. Okay, well. I am giving my hdc315's 2k each daily, have 2, so a total of 4k wrms daily; they're copper. I know people who have given the coppers 3k wrms daily. Now, i also know people with correct electrical, box, etc.. 4k wrms to 1 18" alum. coil hdc3. I mean, i have heard from multiple people that coppers handle power just as well as the alums. but i honestly couldnt tell you. i run the coppers on 2k wrms each, and they rarely get warm...

  2. Vibration damage caused by mounting amplifiers on boxes is the #1 cause of amplifier failures. It will snap the mosfet legs right off. In some extreme cases where the board of a cheap amplifier isn't secured thoroughly inside the amp the board will actually flex and break. Do not mount your amp to the box unless there is absolutely no other option.

You think if the inside of your box is braced very well and has resin on the inside you wouldnt have to worry. Because i would think mounting my amp in/on my car it would flex worse in certain areas. I know that it is the #1 cause, just curious is all since i have my amps mounted on the box and i have window bracing and resin on the inside of my box.

    Thanks

  3. rubber washers will help but the whole box will still vibrate and the sound waves will cause some vibration.

other than the rubber washers, there isn't much you can do. you should be cool though.

Alright, i'll give that a try, it should work somewhat decent. I was also thinking about putting a floor under the amp. Like have Half inch mdf; put rubber washers under it, then put rubber washers under the amp as well. And see how that works out...

    Thanks

  4. well is the vfl 100.1 good? and are they better than the hellfire amps because those look pretty nice

Yeah, any of the Ab amps are great. I dont know much about them though. They're worth a try.

  5. Looking at your avatar, I hope that's not your 400.1 on top of your box. They use vertical MOSFETs and are VERY VERY prone to vibration damage, if an output FET snaps off the entire amp goes up in smoke, $400 repair bills...

My 400.1 is mounted onto the top of my box. I have nowhere else to mount it. I think ill throw like carpet or some rubber washers under the screws/ feet. I have no where else to mount it though. What would you recommend i do?

  6. WTF are you bumping for?

Yau already bought one, did you not?

yup i have one. I would still like to hear peoples experiences with the amp. And what do you care if i have one or not.
