  1. theres other stuff to do besides brakes and paint.

also i cant promise i will feel like going.....im so burnt out on shows i honestly dont care at all - If Paul from Tricked out is runnning the show side again, i will consider it though.

if i dont go, i would much rather have an "after autorama" get together at the pad if anyone still wants to see the hoopty

    Get the BBQ ready. :clapping:
  2. that is so sexy

im guessing youre using non backed stretchable carpet, right? or is it something really special?

do you start stapling at the corners? center? some random spot? start on a short or long side?

Yep..a standard non back carpet is what ya need..yes I start a couple staples on the corners and kind work things around a bit..sometimes you do end up pulling a few staples but only a few..as for the lenth..whatever you can fit..on the bigger boxes I will run half inchers.

  3. great tutorial i tried wrapping my box 2x bigger than that one it didnt turn out bad but could have been better, great tutorial 2 thumbs up, n did u say u made a seperate beauty panel to go over the back of the box?

Some place in here theres some pics of a few boxes I have wrapped..some BIG ones..yes the back panel where the wire exit is added on with a brad nailler...no screws to be seen!

  4. Heres a little look at how I wrap a box..for some of you its old news..

THe first thing I do is round over the edges of the box..no sharp stuff, then I will some time paint the edges the color of the carpet so if there is any spots that get pulled alittle to much they wont show in the carpet.

The first thing I do is center the box on a piece of carpet thats big enough to over lap on all sides..

as you can see this is all the material that you have to move around..

you will end up pulling up on this fairly hard to get a good stretch..

  5. See I wanna do that but the only local audio shop barely does business....and they wont hire anyone. :(

Change your angle.just offer to do a little shop clean up and be a second set of hands to some of the installers..just a few hours each week for free(kind of an intern thing)..that way if you really need the money, you can get a paying job as well..if you want into the trade, you have to be willing to start off low.
